“Don't Pass Up Galatoire's”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

After a previous evening's dinner at Commander's Palace (which was truly amazing) and finding that Galatoire's ranked much lower on Trip Advisor, I was a bit hesitant to go, but my husband talked me into it. I was so happy I went! TOTALLY different atmosphere than CP, more bistro-esque. We sat upstairs where there's carpeting, but we sat next to a large table, so the noise was unavoidable. It was a great dining experience. The crab/shrimp appetizer was delish, the wine list was outstanding, the wait staff was very competent, if not a little slow, but that just really made us enjoy every moment we were there. We never felt ignored. Fun, enjoyable.

“Authentic and Upscale NOLA Ambience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

Jackets required for dinner, but not for lunch, although we would have felt better if we had been dressed up even then. This is the place to see and be seen in the Quarter. The service was incredible and the people watching amazing on a bustling Friday afternoon. The menu is heavy into fish, crab and shrimp dishes and the preparation is old world style with rich sauces, butter and deep frying, but wonderful. We'll go for dinner next time!

“'nawlins dining at it's best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

After just one visit we decide this is now our favorite New Orleans finer dining restaurant (that there are many great ones to choose from). The food is great and unique. Service is impeccable, and very personable. We felt like regulars within just a few minutes. We will be back on our next visit. Be warned, the prices for dinner are cheap. But for good food, good wine, and good company it is a great place.

“Nothing to complain about here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

amazing experience from start to finish. Food is absolutely divine. Ate on the first floor...old world charm. Great service... had the Red Fish sauteed in butter. Wasn't even over priced at all. Well worth it! Fun to dress up a little.

“In a word, superb!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

We had such a good time here, with amazing food and amazing service from Peter, be sure to ask for him. He suggested we try the soft shell crab, so we decided to order it as a split appetizer between my husband and myself. It was melt in your mouth good, not too fried and overdone, delicious. Then my husband had the pompano and I ordered the speckled trout, with a side of the spinach casserole, prepared almondine style. Out of this world good. For dessert, we ordered and shared their bread pudding, which is indescribably mouth-watering. This was my favorite New Orleans restaurant and would definitely go there again!
