At some point you reach your limit as too how much crawfish and jambalaya you can eat.
I was hungry and ready for some Mexican. So, we went to check out this uptown joint on hip Magazine St. We were there for dinner and the place was jammin' - so we waited with a tasty Margarita and cold Dos Equis Amber.
We were promptly seated and the deliciousness started.
We started with chips and pico and some cebollitos. The pico was fresh and delicious. The cebollitos were a first for me but I'm so happy that I tried them - seasoned green onions that are grilled - they are surprisingly tasty and fun to eat.
I really liked that I was able to order everything a la carte - unlike so many Mexican restaurants that force you to order a plate of tacos OR enchiladas.
I went with the Rib Eye carne asada taco and a chicken enchilada. The taco was out of this world - up to this point in my life I thought a taco was a taco. But, this was a quality and tasty taco. And then, the enchilada, covered in melted cheese and filled with a copious amount of chicken. Everything was just right in the perfect proportion.
The prices were average for Mexican even though everything is prepared in the open, upon order and that everything is made from quality ingredients.
