“New Orleans charm”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2015 NEW

Turtle soup was unremarkable, but all right. Eggplant stack was delicious, but small serving, even for appetizer. The shrimp and pasta was a bit heavy. The atmosphere was charming New Orleans with each room of the restaurant in a different, unique style. The salads were beautiful with freshly grated cheese.

“Excellent food and excellent staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2015 NEW

A French and Creole restaurant. Wife and I had set price dinner for appetizer, entree and desert. The choices were hard but I chose a seafood gumbo, seafood bayouaise and creme brûlée. My wife had seafood crepes with goat cheese, shrimp and grits and desert was bread pudding. All the food was great and the bread pudding was the best ever. The crepes were also a highlight. The staff was great giving us a 2 page history of the building and story about their 200 year old ghost. We were treated to a tour of the 2nd floor and the seance room. Fantastic experience and right on Jackson Square.

“Wonderful brunch and service.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2015 NEW

We had a delicious brunch made up of unique and traditional food. One person in our party enjoyed and did not share his shrimp and grits. Another had one of the best crab cakes he's ever had (an appetizer). The duck hash was a huge hit. The restaurant is charming and they had a jazz trio during brunch that rotated in the different rooms. We had two servers that took wonderful care of us.

“Incredible service but food could be better”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2015 NEW

The good:
Lovely decor.
Very very unpretentious, there is not even a dress code.

Tiffany our waitress is a delight.
Service was prompt and friendly.

The not so good:

only 1 vegetarian entrees option... A plain veg curry.... Tasted like a microwave meal.

My partner had a gulf tuna which was nice but not extraordinary.

The added scoop of crawfish as additions was not something to shout home about.

Blue cheese mash was just that plain blue cheese on top of mash.

Would recommend the rib room instead.

Sparkling water is overpriced at $7

“Wedding reception”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2015 NEW

Really wonderful place for a big party. Lots of room and an attentive staff. Could have used a few more seats but since it was nice weather, outside seating worked well. The upstairs area is decorated nicely. Food is mostly seafood and grilled veggies - or was for our event. Would like to go back for Sunday brunch. Looked like fun.
