“So delicious!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2014 NEW

On our last night in NOLA, we wanted to try something different and a little our of our comfort zone. Well this was it! Most places in and around the French Quarter are fried, greasy, heavy food that sits on your stomach all night. My husband and I both got the prixe fixe menu which is great! 3 course for $39.95. I started with the gorgonzola cheesecake and my husband had the shrimp and goat cheese crepes. Both were delicious, one being hot and the other cold. The cheesecake had plenty of prosciutto in with it and an amazing honey nut rasin compote to the side. The crepes had a fair amount of shrimp for an appetizer and was not too heavy. For our 2nd course we both got the double cut pork chop with mashed sweet potato and greens. It was perfect! The chop was cooked excellent and the sweet potatoes really set the flavor off. My husband does not like greens much but we both thought they had an amazing flavor! When it came time for dessert, I thought we would be too full but they give you time between each course. My husband had the flourless chocolate cake and I hade the vanilla creme brulle. The cake was very rich so we took small bites but very good. The creme brulle was divine and cooked perfectly. The best thing is after the meal we were content and not stuffed to the gills! We really didn't have 1 dish that was too much out of our comfort zone. The bill was about $115 with tip which isn't too shabby in the French Quarter!

“Best of the Best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2014 NEW

Muriel's in Jackson Square is an all around great experience! The location can't be beat, the atmosphere is amazing (complete with a resident ghost) and the food is quality. Insider tip: The red velvet ice cream sandwich is a MUST! Get it even if you're full and share it with the table.

“Elegant dining atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2014 NEW

Muriel's is located in an old house and there are separate rooms for dining. The service was very good and the food was excellent (my husband had a shrimp dish and I had a pork chop--I think he liked his better, but I was not disappointed). Easy to get to if you are in the French Quarter.

“2nd Favorite Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2014 NEW

Our horse drawn carriage driver told us this was his 2nd favorite restaurant in New Orleans. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Good service, too.

“Excellent!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2014 NEW

We had dinner at Muriel's during our recent stay in New Orleans. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. We got there a little bit early and they weren't seating people for dinner when we arrived but that was no problem. We were directed to the Bar area where we stayed for about 15 minutes and had a cocktail before being directed to our table. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was great. Honestly, the service was very friendly and very fast. The staff were quick with a joke or were just as quick to pick up on your vibe and respect your personal space if that's what you preferred. If you're in New Orleans, we would highly recommend dinner at Muriel's Jackson Square.
