“Romantic, impeccable service outstanding food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013 via mobile

Was worried this place was a tourist trap because I have started giving terrible reviews too much credit, but my husband and I had a perfect evening here on a weekend away from Chicago and would definitely return and recommend it to anyone. We arrived a bit early in order to have drinks on the balcony. We checked in with the hostess and did just that, and she came and found us when our table was ready. Dinner was delicious, well timed and the service was just attentive enough. We kept seeing ghost tours go by so we asked the waitress about it and she gave us a nice little synopsis. After dinner, we went upstairs to find the seance room and had a drink there-it was wild, all red lighting and pillows and mummies. I loved this place as did my husband, we will be back every year for sure. We and some shrimp crepe thing to start, it was outstanding.

“Best meal we had in NOLA”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

After a disappointing weekend of no vegetarian options I was thrilled to have the vegetable soiree at Muriels no matter what was on it! I started with the roasted garlic soup which was delicious and then moved on to the vegetable soiree. It had 5 small separate dishes which were all good, the mushroom crepe with red pepper aioli was the best! We shared pecan pie and the snickers dessert and both were delicious. Another highlight was having the best hurricane in town and having great service!

“Jazz Brunch was amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

My husband and I ate at Muriel's this morning for the Sunday jazz brunch. It was fabulous. The shrimp and goat cheese crepes were to die for. The shrimp and grits were also wonderful as was the traditional New Orleans brunch. We topped it off with the bread pudding. Needless to say, we are stuffed. The jazz trio was icing on the cake! Highly recommend!

“Good location, good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

Located on a corner of Jackson Square next to the Cathedral. The atmosphere was nice, although a little noisy. The menu selections were very good, with a lot of variety. We enjoyed the meal, had good service, and would definitely return. Everything is a la carte and somewhat pricey, but they do offer a fixed price 3 course meal for $37.50.
