“Excellent Prix Fixe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

Excellent waitstaff complement a lovely ambiance and excellent menu choices for their Table D Hote menu. To start, my wife had the tasty Seafood Gumbo and I had the outstanding shrimp and goat cheese crepes. For Entre's, I had the Seafood "Bayoubaise" that had a lovely tarragon enhanced sauce. My wife went with the Pecan Crusted Puppy Drum (gulf fish) which she enjoyed. The recommended pinot noir went extremely well with my choices. For dessert, we shared each others pudding dishes (pecan bread pudding and black bottom butterscotch pudding).

“Check out the table set for the ghost”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

I was there for an event and I loved the ambiance. The location is superbe and food is very nice. The little balconies overlooking the square are beautiful and the food good. There is a table set for the ghost supposedly living in the premises in a corner with a church music in the background.

“The veg option was a standout, and we aren't vegetarians.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

A trip to New Orleans would not be complete for us without the Muriel's experience. The two of us got one of their 3 course Prix Fixe menus and we got the Vegetable Soirée entree and shared both. The veg plate was not a compromise...an amazingly gourmet experience. If you want a true epicurean meal, without the price tag of the 'famous chef' restaurants, this is your spot.

“One of The Big Easy's Best restaurants.”

Was here two years for Jazzfest and have eaten there 4-5 times. The barbecue shrimp are amazing. Get extra bread for the sauce.

“Excelllent place for Sunday brunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013 via mobile

Very busy place - we couldn't get a reservation till 1:15 for brunch. Once inside though, the space and seating area was spacious and comfortable. Busy but not noisy. We were able to have conversation and enjoy our meal. A wonderful jazz trio was playing - some dinners actually got up and Second Lined to the music -very cool

The service was exceptional - attentive but not bothersome.

The food was amazing. We started with a pancetta green apple tart with fresh blueberries - so good. I had shrimp & grits, my friend had chaurice and duck hash with poached eggs and hollandaise. Crazy good!

Can't wait to go back!
