“The Best Food in New Orleans!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

You have to eat here! My friend and I were recommended by my aunt and uncle to have lunch here and were we happy that we did. I have a seafood allergy (yeah, I know...why did I go to the seafood capital of the world?), and they were able to accommodate me by cooking the best blackened chicken I have ever had in my life in a pan that did not have seafood cooked in it. I loved this blackened chicken atop my spinach salad so much (they made it that way, per my request), that I asked the waiter to ask the cook, if he would come home with me. The service was phenomenal and my friend had the catfish special and she mopped up her plate with that awesome, freshly baked bread, just to enjoy every last drop of what she called the best, most interesting flavored sauce she's ever had on a fish before. This place is a gem and I would definitely go back there to eat if I was ever to find myself in New Orleans again.

“Sunday Brunch, Part of The French Quarter Experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

During our month long stay in New Orleans we had a chance to try several places for Sunday brunch and Muriel's was our favorite. Wonderful Eggs Benedict and they make a great Bloody Mary.

The street scene just outside the high windows is great for people watching and I believe the music was by The Gumbo Trio, classic New Orleans Jazz.

“Great New Year's Dinner at Muriel\s”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

Muriel's was recommended as a good special occaission place for a New Year's dinner. It proved hard to get a later reservation, so we were seated at 5pm. Food and drink were very good, and the atmosphere is great. Service, and quality are top notch. Prices reflect the quality of the establishment.

“great restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

I went with the entire family, seven in total, and everyone had a great time and the BEST food. The atmosphere is like old time southern, with a hint of spookiness thrown in because of its past.
The bar is very well stocked with really nice cocktails that we all enjoyed so we would definately go back to this place
