This was one of the 12 week series that are held in Spring & Autumn. The Young leadership Council raises money through stall holders % of takings to improve the quality of life for people of New Orleans. There were many sponsors on this night including the New Orleans Saints, a bank, an IT company, food stalls, wine bar, beer bar, & others.
A very effective way to pay for food & drinks is by paying for a number of $1 tickets at the ticket counters & then using these at the particular stall you want to buy from.
This is a lovely large park & a huge audience attends many bringing rugs & chairs People sit/stand & it's great to get as close to the stage if photography is on your agenda.
This evening I heard fro West Bank Mike which is a funk infused Blues style.
Then came the funniest group of males the 610 Stompers who "danced" athletically , 3 on stage & the rest below the stage on the grass in a cordoned off area. Such fun to watch.
The THE act we were all waiting for Trombone Shorty accompanied by the New Orleans Avenue. What an amazing trombonist! Quite incredible! The whole group was superb.
I noticed people on balconies in buildings over the road listening to the concert.
A stunning evening in a lovely spacious grassy park.
