“Take a breather”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

This is a great place to take a breather from the busy French Quarter. There is lots of flowers and benches to just sit and enjoy the day.

“Lovely park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013 via mobile

We decided to stop by this park simply because it was a block from out hotel and were pleasantly surprised how clean and well kept the park was. There are many interesting passageway, bridges, and sculptures to look at. At night the park is beautifully light but we didn't venture inside after dark.

“Warm Energies!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013 via mobile

I could live in the old oak tree within this park! I toured on a cool and wet day, ash Wednesday to be exact and the moment I entered the park grounds I became warm with a since of peace over me. The Conga Square (as I believe it is called) is within and the history of that alone brings charm. Word on the road is that slaves used to go there on Sundays to sell their goods and lots of energy is still there.

“Worth visiting for the sculptures”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

This is a smallish park in Treme on the edge of the French Quarter. It was reopened in 2011, apparently after a period of decay. it is nicely landscaped now, but what I enjoyed the most were the sculptures.

“Now Open!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

After years of work the park is now re-open. It is across Rampart Street and the French Quarter. Beautiful trees and plants. Well protected by NO Police but would be careful if alone at night. Next to Mahelia Jackson Theater.
