My wife and I spent a week at Chez Nous in the Marigny section of New Orleans. This remodeled creole cottage was very charming and quite comfortable. Our hostess Donna had decorated Chez Nous with great old antiques. The little kitchen space was equipped with coffee, bread and fresh fruit. The queen size bed featured a memory foam mattress. The bath facilities were well appointed with big thirsty towels.

The location was excellent being walking distance from the French Quarter, Frenchmen Street and the Old Mint. We chose to go car-less do to limited on-street parking. There was a bus stop 2 blocks from the B&B, as well as, the riverfront streetcar line. We enjoyed the clip-clop of hooves as mule-drawn carriages pasted our door every morning.

We would recommend Chez Nous without hesitation to visitors wanting to bathe in the history of New Orleans. Much nicer than cookie-cutter chain hotels many visitors opt for.

I was in New Orleans to attend a conference, and found this B&B through the website. I stayed here for 4 nights, and all the positive reviews that I read were all very true.
Even though very close to the lively French Quatre, situated in the residencial area, it was very quiet. I had a very relaxing and comfortable stay throughout. The contact before the trip via emails, and notes on the table upon arrival made things very smooth, to getting to the place, finding the key to enter, and to use all the apparatus without any problem. I enjoyed the CD collection and the book by the bed (a good way to get acquainted with NOLA, different from usual guide book perspective). Air-conditioning was working perfectly, the coffee machine made the start of the day very pleasant, variety of fruits to bite on was nice too.
The bed was very comfortable to sleep in. Privacy was well maintained.
It was a pity that I only got to introduce myself very shortly to the owner on the second day.

My husband and I stayed here for 11 nights over Jazz Fest this year. When we arrived after a long day of travel from Pennsylvania we walked into a sweet little space, lamps lit low, stereo playing quietly - like being welcomed by old friends! And what a wonderful, comfortable place to come "home" to after a long day at the fest. Donna and Craig have made a delightful little space with comfortable and attractive furnishings and tasteful local touches. The kitchen is stocked with breakfast supplies that could suffice -- or hold you over until you can make it down to the corner for a full breakfast at La Peniche. Drinking coffee on the front porch, watching the horse and carriages make their way to Jackson Square, one block from Frenchman Street, walking distance to the Quarter and the streetcar, it could hardly be a better location. Loving feeling like a "local". We will NEVER stay in a hotel again!

We stayed for two nights at Chez Nous and thought it was very charming. It has a shabby chic kind of a feel to it and there are lots of nice touches from the owners evident in the property. Lovely continental breakfast provided. Frenchmen Street is just around the corner so you can fall home after night's partying. The area was felt very safe and we particularly enjoyed the banter with our next door neighbour and her friends over a glass or two of wine. The only thing that spoiled it for us was a dog barking over the road early in the morning - not the owners' fault obviously. The owners were very helpful when we left an article of clothing behind.
