Maurepas is a fun, lively restaurant that has good food, drinks and atmosphere. The service was excellent throughout our meal. We enjoyed everything we ate from our charcuterie plate and savory beet appetizer to our goat tacos and fish and broccoli entrees. The cheese platter we ate afterwards had delicious aged cheddar and blue cheeses. They have a seasonal menu based on what high quality foods are locally available. They publish on the menu specifically where their products come from (Louisiana and Mississippi). They have an interesting seasonal cocktail menu, too. They have good, attentive bartenders who know how to make a good sazerac and an old fashion. We had a good time and left with a happy belly! Note that it is in the Bywater neighborhood. You could walk there from the Quarter, but you most likely will want to drive or get a taxi.
