“Nice rooms, Good location, Excellent staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

I stayed here for 2 nights for a convention. I am a GP platinum member so I try to stay at Choice on business. The price was lower than most hotels in the area. I was a little weary of a Quality Inn in downtown N.O. but booked it anyway. I checked in and got upgraded to a queen suite. It was clean and the lay out reminded me of an Embassy Suite but smaller. The furnishing were a little on the dated side but in good shape. Bed was pretty comfortable but not as much as the new mattresses that Choice is remodeling with. So no complaints about the room. The breakfast was very good and included much more than the usual Choice breakfast. Again the lobby was clean. The location is a couple of blocks off of Canal so you are only a 10 minute walk to the heart of the French Quarter. It was quite a hike to the convention center. I did it once and I would not recommend it. I was lucky enough to be able to use the convention shuttle at a nearby hotel. The hotel does not have a bar or restaurant but this is Nawlins why eat in a hotel. The greatest attribute of this hotel is the staff; always eager to please and accommodate they went the extra mile and tried to help with some unfortunate issues that happened to me that were of my own making. They were genuinely concerned and I felt like they would have given me shirts off their backs if I needed them to. Stanley is a top notch manager you would hope to find at a Ritz Carlton. All his people under him are top notch too. Thanks again guys!

I stayed here about a month and a half ago along with some other friends. The people were extremely nice and it seems like it's very common practice for them to upgrade your room for whatever reason. The room was clean and large. Breakfast selection-wise, it has a pretty wide spread of not-great food, but I wasn't really expecting anything otherwise.

Overall, I thought it was clean and I was fine with staying there as long as you realize that this is more similar to a well-run, clean budget hotel/motel (like a Comfort Inn, etc.) and less like an actual nice hotel.

Stayed twice. One night April 14th and return on April 18th for two nights.
This affordable hotel is located in walking distance of the French Quarter. The service is absolutely fantastic and the personnel is both friendly and always willing to help you. It was also clean. The continental breakfast is more like a full buffet breakfast and the staff will bend over backwards. From the front desk staff that went out of the way to make sure you are happy to the maids that always said hello when you past them in the hall
Every time I passed the front desk I was ask if everything was OK.
On check out I met the General Manager Stanley Mascair and told him how nice everything was. He was a very friendly person.
I will be staying there again on June 7th for two nights before we take a cruise out of the Big Easy. Looking forward to it again.

If you want exceptional service and friendly people to work with this is your hotel to stay at in New Orleans.

Room Tip: Loved room 604 had two beds and lots of room.

The continental breakfast is more like a full buffet breakfast and the staff will bend over backwards to meet your diet needs.
Each room has a microwave and refrigerator; and for all of us computer geeks, it has wi fi internet.

Room Tip: I had a room next to the street on the fifth floor. I found this room to be quiet enough to sleep...

My friend and I stayed at the Quality Inn for St. Patrick's Day weekend festivities. The hotel is within very easy walking distance to Canal Street and the French Quarter. We felt very safe walking around the area. The rooms were clean, and even though our room faced the street, we were still able to sleep undisturbed. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Would consider staying here again.

We recently visited New Orleans at the first of April and stayed at this hotel for two nights. Great place. Very clean and even though the place was full, it was very quiet. I even asked how full the hotel was because i never saw very many people in it, except at breakfast. Close to the French Quarters and easy to get around. We walked to Canal Street and caught the trolley, once we got the hang of it. I would recommend this hotel as a great place to stay and explore New Orleans. The public bus from the airport drops you off about two blocks away and only costs $2 one way. We rode it both ways and it worked out great. The staff is very helpful with any questions, we had. They always greeted us with a hello and were extremely approachable.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. This is an older hotel but everything worked, the rooms are a bit small but clean and nice. Microwave, fridge... The bed seemed small for a queen but other than that a good experience. Wonderful location a quiet street and an easy walk to Canal Street and access to the trolley. Buy an all day pass!
