“Perfect reasonably priced hotel for conference and tourist visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

Stayed at this hotel for 4 days attending a conference last week. The location of the hotel is great for any purpose in New Orleans. Hotel staff is incredibly helpful and that help was at the level of the J.W. Marriott down the block (at 1/3 the price). I need to give shoot out to Chelsea M. for her help during my stay. Chelsea became my friend while I stayed at the hotel. We talked about how to experience New Orleans as a native, which is the perspective you need to have to truly enjoy New Orleans culture. WaWa at the bell desk was also great. He went out for bread pudding so that i could look like a hero to my fiance after our drinking and eating at Maison on Frenchmen Street earlier that evening rendered too happy and full to go to Commander's Palace for a late dinner. He refused to accept a tip saying that it was his pleasure to help.

Room Tip: We were on the fourth floor and the conference rooms are on the third floor. I was able to take the...

Being from a smaller town, I wasn't really expecting the big city prices. When you book online it doesn't tell you to factor in another $50/ day for Parking & fees. However, with that said, it was a beautiful, clean hotel with very friendly & helpful staff. The beds & pillows are luxurious and very welcoming after a night on Bourbon Street. It's a 5 minute walk to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter, just a few miles to the Riverwalk. We walked almost everywhere. The St. Charles Streetcar stops right beside the hotel. I will definitely stay here again.

I usually do not submit reviews however in this case I felt I needed too. The first impression of the hotel when you walk in is pretty cool. Don't want to spoil your first impression so I will leave it at that. The hotel was also clean, comfortable, and convenient! The staff was friendly. If you like boutique hotels this is one to check out. I get tired of the branded hotels and this was a refreshing change, we will be coming back.

Husband, daughter and I stayed here for one night in Dec 2012. Was very impressed with the cleanliness and newly decorated rooms, lobby, etc. Excellent experience! They only thing I did not like - even though we parked our own car in a nearby garage and were still charged $8.95 parking fee by the hotel.

Ended up staying for a night following a cancelled flight. Despite the last minute reservation, staff put me up the top floor corner room. Staff were extremely friendly. Liked the boutique-y feel. 1 block walk to Canal St but still quiet at the hotel. Walk to everything! Valet expensive and, as I recall, you could self-park to save $$. Cafe in the lobby - no breakfast.

Would recommend if you are not one who cares about Hilton, PriorityClub, or Marriott points. I usually stay at the chains to get the points...

Always eat at Sylvain's when in New Orleans!

Some staff are great and some have no clue and need training on customer service skills. Never got two items I requested at check in. Today the air is not working. No window in the room so if you have any issues with anxiety or panic this is not a good hotel for you. There are plenty of other hotels around. Stay elsewhere if you have the option.
