“Cool lobby with several places to relax with a drink.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2012 via mobile

Rooms are clean and updated. Gym is small but adequate and uncrowded. Mila restaurant (in lobby) has excellent food. I had a salad and seared tuna. Valet is pricey...even for Nola.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights in April. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little off the beaten path, but only one block off Canal and Bourbon. If you want to be away from all the craziness, this is a good choice. The hotel is clean and the rooms are pleasant. We stayed in a corner room and this added some view and size. It is several blocks from the casino/water, but certainly walkable. The pool is small and quiet, if you are looking for pool party, this is not the place.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are larger.

My husband and I spent one night here during the first Jazz Fest weekend of 2012 (before moving to a vacation club condo), and it was my first time in a CBD (vs. French Quarter) hotel for the many Jazz Fests I've attended in the past. I have absolutely no regrets, and would stay here again.

Though having a vintage exterior, the interior is very stylish with a mid-century modern vibe. The lobby has lots of comfortable seating and a friendly bar, where we caught up with friends before going to dinner. Our room was clean, moderate (but not small) in size, comfortable, and continuing in the stylish and clean style. The marble bath could have used a larger vanity, but was otherwise fresh and functional. Our view was nothing to write home about, but we were only going to be here for a few daylight hours, so we didn't much care and didn't bother asking for a room with a better view.

The location of the hotel is just a block away from the corner of Canal and Bourbon, so if you want convenience to the French Quarter without the fuss, this is a great locale. Also, the streetcar route passes along Carondelet Street at Common, so that's also handy.

Best of all, the room rate was at least $100/night less than what I pay for my go-to Jazz Fest hotel; definitely worth strong consideration for next year's Fest.

Good clean hotel, with the usual Marriott amenities (a very small pool though). Professional staff. Very Close to the French Quarter. Club food very average. Room air conditioner a little noisy. But overall recommended.

The whole town was booked up this past weekend. My wife and I decided to get away for the weekend. I was skeptical because the Pere Marquette had a vacancy and no one else did. My fears were unfounded. We were later than expected arriving. The front desk whisked us in. Our room was very attractive. The view from the 15th floor was good. Shower with good pressure. Pretty bathroom. Great lobby and lobby bar. Staff very attentive. Our Saturday breakfast order placed Friday night was misplaced. The food and beverage manager brought it up himself and put it on the house. Convenient location. Valet parking was quick both checking in and checking out. The Pere Marquette is now on my list to call first.

This hotel is in a pretty good location. A short walk to Bourbon St and Canal as well. It is a long walk down to the water, convention center and the casino so if that is where you are headed, book closer. The hotel and restaurant were good but nothing spectacular. All in all I was happy with this choice.

Stayed at this hotel for my 60th bday celebration. The room was nice, clean and was not too small. I had read other reviews and asked for a corner room because other reviews stated they were bigger. Stay in room 501 overlooking the pool with windows on two sides. while not in the French Qtr, it is in walking distance, about 5-10 minutes and we are not fast walkers. close to a tolley car stop if you want to go to the Garden District by public trpt.
Staff was phenominal!!! Especially Angelique and Tareneisha. would definitely stay here again.
