“Value for the money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

We stayed here one night before a cruise and were very happily surprised at the quality and size of the rooms. The staff were very pleasant and seemed to really like their jobs. There are afternoon cocktails and hors d'oeuvres but when the alcohol comes out of a soda dispenser then you can imagine that it's not the best and I would even say that it was tasteless. The breakfast was OK for being included. It's just amazing to me that when you pay a little less for a hotel then they offer so much more included in the rate.

If you are looking for a clean, reasonably priced hotel centrally located in New Orleans be sure to check out the Drury. The rooms have most of the expected amenities (except an in-room safe) and a few extras you except from Drury. I can't say enough good things about the front desk staff, Aliya and Edwardo. They checked me in and out quickly and accurately and even held my bags for a quick breakfast in the CBD. Parking is easy and relatively inexpensive. The rooms are very clean, as I'm pretty picky when it come to that. High ceilings and comfortable bedding. A/C ran quiet and temperature control was perfect.

The Dome and Arena are a just few blocks away and the F.Q. not too much further. In good weather, the walk is easy either direction.

Will definitely be a regular. Thanks Drury.

Quiet but a short walk to the center of the French Quarter, the Drury offers a full hot buffet in the evenings as well as a full breakfast buffet (including those waffles) each morning. Oh yes, they are willing to offer wine inter al. each evening and popcorn too. Amazingly like a home away from home.

Room Tip: All are quiet....

We stayed here for 6 nights and completely loved our stay. The front desk staff were very helpful and always friendly. We needed an optometrist for our child's glasses and she advised us where to go. She also followed up to see if we were helped out which we were! We were advised on tours to book (Natchez Steamboat and Bayou airboat tours) and restaurant recommendations were perfect for our family.

Our room was fantastic! Clean and spacious with a wonderful view of the Mississippi and city. We had some plumbing problems with our tap not shutting off and toilet not flushing. They were fixed promptly and this did not negatively impact our stay. The cleaning staff were friendly and our room was always supplied and cleaned. The service from all departments of the hotel was exceptional.

Pool on the rooftop was heated...needed this as it is not that warm this time of year. With the wind it was quite chilly up there. It was closed one day to be drained and cleaned but the hotel made arrangements with a hotel across the road so we used their indoor pool that day! It did take 3 days for the pool to reheat back up, but the kids didn't mind!

The breakfast was descent but as we stayed for 6 nights it was repetitive. Could have mixed it up but was good all around. The " Kick Back" hour from 5:30-7pm was unreal! Not just snacks and drinks, but delicious white meat chicken fingers (better than most restaurants) baked potatoes, meatballs, pasta, veggies, nachos, etc. The service staff were wonderful and always friendly, even with the 3 bus tours that came through and the seniors took root at 4:30 anticipating this kick back time! Our kids had this for dinner 2 nights as it was sufficient for them. Great hospitable addition to staying at a hotel!

The location was close to French Quarter and right beside the St. Charles streetcar that will take you through the Garden district. We found it very central to the activities we planned. The front desk were always willing to call us a cab or the valet parking staff too.

We will definitely stay here again and seek out Drury Inns when travelling.

My family and I recently stayed at the Drury Inn & Suites in New Orleans at the front-end of a cruise. The property was located perfectly for us. An easy walk to the French Quarter yet far enough away to be able to leave the Quarter when things started to get "interesting". We felt safe the entire time but were in the hotel before 10:00 pm. Our room was large enough and clean as was the bathroom. A minor complaint is that the two beds were not queen-sized. With two teen-aged boys, that is a bit of a problem. The free "dinner" in the evening was average at best but at least it was somethig to eat. Breakfast the next morning was pretty typical with waffles, eggs, fruit, etc. Again, nothing special but part of the deal. It pretty much tided us over until we got to the cruise ship later that morning. Speaking of the cruise ship, the hotel is only about a 7 to 10 minute taxi ride to the cruise terminal. Very convenient. We arranged travel ahead of time (we were with a big group) and the cost was only $7 per person to get to the ship. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in NOLA at the front-end of a cruise.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Drury. Ronaldo was such a great help planning tours to getting us to and from the airport. Our rooms were very clean and tastefully decorated. We will certainly stay here again and recommend it to our friends and family.

Here we are again, we have stayed in as many Drury Hotel and Suites as we can find. when we travel if thre is a drury to be found where we are going, that will be our address for the length of stay for that area. We find the staff very accomidating and friendly, they wetn out of their way to make sure all our problems were taken care of, when we were there the week of Feb 20, 2013, we were there prior to our Carnival cruise and we walked every where, the staff ws great with directions to attractins and assisted us with getting transportation any time we needed it. We returned on arch 3rd and the hotel, and the entire City of NOLA was experiencing a water problem, the staff made sure we had water for drinking that was safe and kept us informed of the situation as it changed. Looking forward to going again...where ever they build a new one !!!

Room Tip: Pool on rooftop, not good in cool weather.
