“Great location, super friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2014

Stayed at this property for an extra day after a cruise. Found the front desk staff to be completely friendly and accommodating. We had arrived early for check-in and the front desk manager offered to take our bags and asked us to join the in process breakfast.

The breakfast is beyond the standard continental breakfasts at many of the Best Westerns, includes make your own waffles, sausages and a variety of baked goods, cereals and instant oatmeal and grits ...etc. Very nice.

Also very easy walk into the rest of the French Quarter in a safe area [ we were only walking around during the day ] If no cabs are outside, the front desk will call you one.

The room was great, decorated tastefully and and felt cozy and very comfortable.

Would definitely stay at this property again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor. It is an older property so walls and floors can be thin.

This is great hotel for those on a budget and a great location. A five or 10 moinute walk from everything in the french quarter. Room was large and clean. When I saw complimentary breakfast I expected the same old continental breakfasts. Nope. Hot selections that were good and fresh. If I make it back to NOLA, this will be my first stop again.

I loved staying at this hotel! The room was great, the bed was very comfortable, and we had a great breakfast every morning, including waffles, scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage! The only thing was that the kids staying next door woke me up at 4 am on Saturday morning because they were drunk and screaming. I should have advised the desk, but, forgot to, as I was rushing to go to my event

We stayed at this property for 3 nights - January 13-16. The rooms were absolutely fine. They were clean and well kept. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. 5 to 10 minute walk to all the main attractions. Despite the added charge of $20 per night, we loved the convenience of having an on premise, safe, self service parking garage (although we did not need the car when touring all the local attractions). The only cons: you could hear traffic noise outside at night and one night we actually heard two loud people on the street singing. However, the noise level is nowhere near the craziness you would hear if staying closer to Bourbon Street. The park across the street is really beautiful but we read in travel books that it is not safe to go in at night. Overall however, would def recommend.

I booked this hotel through Hotwire and was a little concerned about the location. It ended up being fine. It was a short walk to Frenchmen Street and the French Market so that worked out nicely since those were the two places I wanted to visit most. Unlike some other reviews I found the staff to be very helpful. My mother and aunt wanted to go out alone for the evening and the front desk quickly arranged a taxi for them. When I asked about safety in the area at night the front desk clerked asked where we were headed and provided me with a map and showed me what she considered the best route to take in terms of safety and pointed out areas to avoid. This was much appreciated. The breakfast in the morning was fine. The issue I had was that my room was not clean. We were only there one night so we dealt with it but I don't know that I would book it again.

Hotel was great. Breakfast was great. Parking is extra that was a shock. Stayed there just the one night. right next to the French Quarter. Easy to find. You can walk quite a bit while you are there. Lots of places to spend money.
