Upon arriving we were barely acknowledged by the front desk staff, not a good first impression at all. We were in town for the Rock 'n Roll New Orleans marathon.apparently there was a group of fraternity brothers staying at the hotel as well. They were very loud both Friday and Saturday night - nights we needed to get a good night's sleep prior to our race. Needless to say it didn't happen. When we complained to the front desk they were less than responsive. I must say though that when we mentioned it again during our check out, Brunette, the front desk person was very understanding and accommodating, she even gave us a discount. The daytime front desk staff is much more helpful and accommodating than the night time staff. Ty, the bartender, gave us wonderful restaurant suggestions. The neighborhood where the hotel is located is seedy and a little scary to walk through. After the first day we found a different route down to the heart of the French Quarter that seemed safer. If I were to come to New Orleans again, I would spend the money and stay somewhere else.

First of all this hotel looks lovely!
The staff is very friendly.
Rooms are comfortable and clean!
There is a little swimming pool but did not use that because it was too cold that days.
Breakfast is good.

The location is awesome! Everything in walking distance! Even Bourbon street.

Would love to go back!

This hotel is located on Rampart at the end of the French Quarter and has been recently updated. The rooms are small, but that is typical of most older building in this area. The pool and outdoor courtyard are quaint. The bar area is nice and the complimentary breakfast was well appointed. I found this to be great value with a very accommodating and personable staff.

Rooms were too small for 4 people. Need to have a bigger selection for breakfast. Only had a small amount to choose from. Staff was ok. Could have been nicer. The plus to staying here was you dont need to rent a car to go anywhere. Everything was walking distance. Neighborhood was quiet had no problem with that.
