“Hotel was nice, but the billing problem ruined everything”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

I stayed at the hotel for conference. The hotel was very nice. The double king room comfortably fitted three people. The location was very convenient.
I pre-paid through priceline. But they charged me again on the card after the stay. Their complicated structure(both at the hotel and marriott corporate) made it really hard to speak with people who have real authority to handle this. And the same thing happened to my colleague's stay at the same hotel.

We stayed there for 7 days for a convention. The renovation was complete and very well done. The hotel and rooms were immaculate. The staff were very nice and professional. The location is perfect for walking through the French Quarter and to the Riverwalk. It was very convenient to grab a cab when we wanted to as well. The name change is so new the cab drivers don't know it yet as the Courtyard but if you tell them Iberville Suites they know where to go. The hotel is off Bourbon St. so the noise was not an issue. Our room was quiet and comfortable. The only negatives we experienced was asking for wake up calls. If we got the call at all it was usually half an hour past the time we'd requested. One morning we were unable to have coffee in our room because the hotel had run out of coffee cups. With the change in hotel name the free continental breakfast went away. The service in the lobby cafe was slow but I must say when you got your food it was very good. At 5:00 p.m. the cafe opens up their bar which is nice but better yet was the beautiful lounge at the Ritz Carlton. We were able to do room charges for food and drinks from there. All in all this hotel was a great choice. I'm sure they'll get the kinks worked out and we'll certainly stay there again.

Stayed in town for a total of 5 days for a conference. Didn't do very much but sleep there, but the place had just been renovated, and everything was top notch. Very nice, very new, very clean, very good value for money. The only negative was that the advertised access to the Ritz Carlton fitness center was no more (even though this was advertised whan I made the reservation). The Hotels own fitness center was nothing to write home about, and there wasn't any real desire form the staff to work it out. Otherwise things were great.

Room Tip: Higher floor or rooms facing away from Bourbon Street is probably good if you are noise sensitive.

The corporate changes have kicked in. To use the Ritz Carlton fitness room now $25. No free breakfast and lobby cafe takes 30 mins to toast premade breakfast sandwiches! Avoid cafe. I dont think there is room service. Hotel's own fitness room small, clean but no water available! King suite had separate room and full size pull out couch good for two small or one large kid. Room beautiful. Ours viewed only interior courtyard but very quiet. Beware though - first room given was two beds in one room and I had to ask for the king suite I had booked. Also called ahead to make sure sofa bed ready - they said always ready and made up but of course ours was not and we had to wait for a manager to bring sheets pillows blankets. Good points? Location fabulous - one block to Bourbon and two to Royal. Street is kind of a back- alley looking block but close to all and so much quieter. Lobby and rooms beautiful in newly renovated hip style. Bed comfy. We needed the suite set-up and reasonable price for French Quarter. We were pleased.

This hotel is in a great location if you're wanting to visit Bourbon St., the French Quarter, River Walk, etc. The hotel was under construction, so there were a few 'wet paint' signs around and we had to use 2 different elevators to get to our floor. None of it was a big deal really. The room was very nice. We rented a suite which was very spacious. I didn't see the bill but was told it was about $200 which is not bad at all for it's proximitiy (it's literally a block from Bourbon). I would definitely stay there again. Webiste advertised that vallet parking was $39 (I think) but there is a parking garage directly across the street (probably the same one the hotel uses) that charged $24 per day. I'd recommend parking there. There are employees there 24 hrs which made us feel safe to leave our car there. In fact, we tried to get something out of the car and they wouldn't let us go up the stairs. They drove the car down, we got our stuff and then they parked the car again. A bit of a hassel, but nice to know they don't let people roam the garage. Both when we arrived and left, the one vallet guy at the hotel was greatly overwhelmed which is another good reason to park yourself.
