You must get out of town and try Bacchanal, a twenty minute $15.00 taxi ride. I wanted something very local, a place that delivered on quality food, wine and music and after researching on Trip Advisor, Yelp, Epicurious and other sites this was the selection and it was awesome. Take a look at the photo and ask yourself, "would I go in there" and the answer... YES! Once past the doors you enter the wine store and delicatessen. David will assist with your cheese selection and the wine list is extensive and not priced out of site. Take your wine to the back Patio, once plated the cheese plate will be delivered, sit back and enjoy. Dinner is served nightly with a good selection for any palate and I'm told some of New Orleans own Chef's frequent Bacchanal.
The night we were there Jesse Morrow and his Trio played and were well qualified to be in front of an audience. My only critique, is the guys talked to much amongst themselves in-between tunes. More Jazz please!!
Before you go, read up on the history of this hang out, it'll make your experience even more enjoyable, I know you'll like it. Oh, you order dinner at the WINDOW and then its delivered to the table, there is no white cloth table service. Your here for the music, food, wine and very local ambience.
