Our GPS found the N.O. West KOA without any difficulty. It was a busy time in the office but we were greeted and all our questions answered. The free shuttles to and from the French Quarter were booked and a cable cord purchased. The next day the handyman helped us figure out the cable set-up, we had never used it before! We were given a business card for a taxi service they have an arrangement with and a card so that we knew where we were staying! Today we are enjoying the laundry room facility. Imagine driers that actually dry cloths for .75 cents. We met the security man who was teaching his daughter to ride her bike!
There is a grocery store a half block away and the levy can also be explored.
We just loved how well kept and managed this KOA is even though it's a little far from the French Quarter, maybe that's a good thing!
We feel 100% safe!

Great place where alot of RVs camp, but we're broke students so we stayed in tents. First thing to know: there isn't much to the campsites, ie they aren't that large. It's pretty much just a tiny concrete slab and some dirt and just enough to put your tent and car in comfortably (we had 2 tents and 2 cars, it was still okay). But the campsite is Very clean, there's wonderfully clean air conditioned restrooms, the staff is very helpful and there's a pool when you need to cool off in the mid day. There's even free wifi! If you've never been to NOLA, it's a filthy city with cockroaches but we didn't see a single roach or piece of garbage at this campsite. There's also a shuttle that runs at 9am and 5pm for free to NOLA and there's discounted cab fair to NOLA for $30 solid, up for like 7 people or something. It's $30 a night to camp in a tent. Overall, we were happy with our stay.
