“French Quarter Walking Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2014

Great walking tour of the French Quarter - go here first. Highly recommend. Very personable, interesting, knowledgeable, fun. The minor cost of the walking tour also gets you into the house tour where there is a good book/gift shop.

“Mos amazing, informative and fun walking tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2014

... I ever had. Our Guide was amazing: Very versed in new Orleans history, easygoing and with perfect timing for jokes and questions. He was an Vietnam vet and we got stopped two times by locals hugging him and telling us he was the BEST guide around - and boy, they were right!

The tour is not cheap, but it is worth every penny!!!!

“Informative tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014

The walking tour of the French Quarter was great. Joseph aka Rosie was a fun guide-- and a native. He knew a lot about the French Quarter and NOLA itself. He gave great recommendations of places to visit and eat as well. We visited the Cabildo museum later that day and a lot of what our guide touched upon we found there in the museum-- everything was full circle. It was a great tour. It was also nice that they do not require reservations in advance and offer the tour at a reasonable price.

“Great investment of your time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014 via mobile

I soent 3 days in NOLA in november 2013. I just happened to walk by the park in the French Quarter and saw their office, which was also referenced in Lonely Planet and decided to check it out.
I cans ay it was a great thing to do, the guide and the people in their store/office were extremely helpful. The explanations and tour were great, not too detailed as to be dry history, not too superficial as to be not informative.
We did a great walking tour full of anecdotes, questions and good humour.
I would totally recommend it if you have curiosity to know more about the past of the city.

“Disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2013

We chose this tour because of the reviews we read, unfortunately, our experience was rather underwhelming. Too much time was spent on the military history in our opinion & our tour guide often went off on a tangent unrelated to the specific piece of history he started to share, this made it difficult to follow & later remember. Wasn't worth the two hours as our walking self-guided tours from Lonely Planet & Frommers were just as informative.

We are sorry that you were disappointing, we'd be happy to give you another tour with a different guide if you are back in town.
