“Great food and great vibe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

We had breakfast here on our last day in New Orleans, and regretted not having tried it earlier because we surely would have gone again. We waited only 5 minutes to be seated and then were quickly attended to by a busy but cheerful waitress. It was brunch time so hubby had a great sandwich and I had the bananas forster french toast. I thought the french toast was very pricey--but also that it was EXCELLENT. Overall, didn't regret the choice. Can't remember details about the sandwich except that it was a bit unique and really good. The place is a bit noisy but the vibe is energetic and fun. I'd highly recommend it.

“Local, unique food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013 via mobile

Running short on time, so we found this establishment. They had smoked salmon on the menu, but the server had never heard of a bagel with lox. My husband & I decided on the Louisianian (shrimp & Cheddar omelet) & the kids had a pancake & French toast. Nice place, would recommend!

“OMG. Maybe best brunch ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013 via mobile

Went for brunch. 20 minute wait, but well worth it. Best Bloody Mary ever made! Sat at bar and bartender recommended the the eggs cochon. Poached eggs over pork on an open faced biscuit. Simply the best.

“Nice breakfast choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

The Ruby Slipper has 3 locations in NOLA. This restaurant was a great breakfast choice. There really wasn't much to it but all of the food was good and reasonably priced. Lots of choices. Coffee was good. My boyfriend had the hot chocolate and said it was terrible. The people next to us were raving about the banana pancakes but I don't like bananas so didn't get to try. Overall, this is a nice option for getting a good, standard breakfast.
