“Scrumptious Dining!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

We love this place. It never disappoints. Everything here is delicious and freshly prepared. Cocktails and food are delivered quickly, & service is upbeat! Prices are reasonable and the portions are huge. Try the Damn Good Nacho appetizer loaded with pulled pork, black beans, tomatos, etc., & can be eaten as a meal enough for 2 or more! The only thing we don't like is their salsa which is so hot it's nearly inedible.

“The best damn nachos ever!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

Went here with my 19 year old son and his friends. What a great choice! The atmosphere is very lively and fun, and the food was fabulous!!! We had "the best damn nachos", and they really were the best I've ever had! Nachos with pulled pork, cheese, jalapenos, black beans, and some kind of wonderful sauce. Definitely order them if you go! Then you can 1-4 tacos of your choice; they were all excellent! I would highly recommend this place, even if you don't want to drink any rum!!

“Great Food and Atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

My wife and I happened upon this place looking for another restaurant and boy are we glad we did. The place is unique and the food is wonderful. They have a wonderful Caribbean twist on the food and WOW does it work. The tacos were wonderful and the cheviche tacos were incredible. They have a diverse menu and from what we enjoyed you can't go wrong. Great location and specials add to the experience. You won't be disappointed.

“Awesome dining experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

The Rum House was the perfect choice for a great dinner in New Orleans! On a Friday night only had a short wait for a table, which gave us a chance to enjoy some wonderful rum punch at the bar. Service was spot on, and once we got seated, the food was simply delish - the tuna tacos and guacamole were amazing!!

“We must of hit it just right.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

Arrived in NOLA staying in the neighborhood. Took a mid-afternoon walk on Magazine Street on a sunny 75 degree day, and voila, there was an inviting sidewalk picnic table just asking for company. We enjoyed the fried oyster, chicken mole and shimp chile tacos (although my wife saw a bowl of mussels and salad go by and wish that she had ordered that). Other plates that passed by included the nachos that also looked inviting. Red Stripe just tastes better in certain places like Jamaica but was not at all objectionable here as well. Will definitely return. Price is relatively cheap.
