After struggling to find a place that wasn't jammed on Bourbon or Frenchmen Street, decided to try Cajun Fais Do Do on a Sunday evening. Every Sunday starting at 5:30 a Cajun band plays and lots of folks dance - same band has been playing 25 years. At 7 they take a break and serve free red beans and rice cooked by the band leader. After the break they play and dance on until 9. Tipitina's is very plain, lots of history, easy to get to on the bus or by taxi if staying in the French Quarter. A wonderful evening and a great break from the FQ.
