awesome awesome food. very recommended for local charm and flavor and wonderful people. go to lot number 19, "World Famous N'Awlans Cafe and Spice Emporium" for an awesome meal and friendly staff.
Always fresh produce and intereting local food items. Great place to get cheap t-shirts, caps and assorted "tourist items". Always changing items and vendors. T-shirts, caps, jewelry, purses, sunglasses you name it you can find it for a bargain price.
Stroll through the streets and be near the Mississippi...how cool is that?! We had a Mulfetta outside on a roof top cafe, and you must try this sandwich somewhere while there.
We decided to go and are really glad we did. The shopping is very typical flea market stuff. The vendors in the food section were a very pleasant surprise. Must do in my opinion. And try the Oysters.
There's the kitschy masks (from China) but there are also local artists at the market - local jewelry, local artwork. And local food too! Take your time & find something special to take home with you from the market.
