We were here on a Friday and were entertained with live music and dance and just gave us a warm feeling of the French quarter. Lots of knick knacks to buy, fresh seafood and Cajun food stalls and seating area.
Surprised The French Market is ranked so low. It's historical and has something for everybody. Fresh foods, books, crafts, jewelry.... No trip to New Orleans would be complete without a visit.
The vendors were colorful, friendly, and helpful. Most items were very similarly priced from vendor to vendor.
What more can you ask for...the French Market has great buys, people watching and food. Be sure to look around and find the best deal. Stop at one of the food places and talk to the locals. They will tell you some good tips on food, shops and bands. We had beautiful weather and it was a pleasure visiting.
So many different things to see. Many local artists. Fun stroll through aisles and aisles of novel gifts and jewelry.
