The French Market is open air (hot in summer!) and has different stalls and open tables. It's like a flea market, although many of the sellers are "permanent". the first part is more food, including produce, spices/hot sauces, a smoothie stand, pralines. The second part is souveniers, the kind you'd find at any tourist attraction in a popular city. T-shirts and hats abound, a stall of jazz CDs, some toys, some hair accessories and purses, etc. The jewelry ranged from what could be estate (vintage, unique) to bling-y new stuff. Sunday morning was quite crowded. The market is on flat ground, no steps, but nowhere to sit either.
