“HOME COOKING”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2014

Not being real hungry, but wanting something like home, we tried Daisy Dukes. We are so glad we did. The biscuits and gravy comes in a large( and it is LARGE) bowl, the biscuits are light & flufffy, and simply swimming in the most delicious gravy. No way could I finish. It is quite close to the French Quarter, also many of the hotels. You can't go wrong eating there.

“A LOT of food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2014

I read how good everything was and a few people said it was good so our last meal in NOLA we decided to head to DD.
My husband and I both ordered the Cajun Philly Cheese. They were HUGE. The fries (you pay extra for) were good seasoned with some type of spicy seasoning. Sodas are huge but what ever you dont finish they will put in to go cups for you. My daughter ordered the kids chicken finger platter. She ate all the chicken but left a lot of fries.
My only complaint would be they give to many fries to the kids and not enough fries to the side order of fries that you pay for.
We had a coupon for a free appetizers, the appetizer they allow you to get is actually considered their "side" dishes so we got mozzarella sticks. They were good but really crispy. We would eat here again.

“Reasonable price”

Reasonable priced, good food, quick service. Its somewhat a hold in the wall but a comfortable safe spot. We were satisfied. They also have 2 for 1 bloody marys.

“You can't beat the breakfast Special!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014

We had teh $3.99 special. 2 eggs cooked any style, and in my case over easy and perfect. Add to that your choice of meat - i had ham; biscuit or toast; and grits or hasbrowns. I had teh hasbrowns which were perfectly prepared,a nd my wife got the grits with cheese, which were also perfectly prepared - not soupy, and not like a baseball, but creamy and served in a small bowl. The bisuits were crispy outside and tender inside and with the butter, didn't even need the jelly. The bloody Mary's were 2 for 1 ($8 total) and spicy! Garnished with okra, green beans, and olives, they were a meal in themselves and a great way to get your veggies. I may become a vegetarian! Enjoy!

“Great meal, nice folks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014

We had a nice late meal at DD. do not let the facade dissuade you from visiting. The tea is sweet, the Po boys delicious and the service genuine. Loved the fried green tomatoes. If this a a good taste of New Orleans, I'm in.
