“Great seafood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2014

Ordered frog's legs. After some of the breading fell off, I discovered the best frog's legs i have ever had. My wife ordered the grilled drum topped with crab meat and it was cooked perfectly. Would definitely go back again.

“Small portions but good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2014

While the portions were small for the price you pay, the seafood is very good and it actually kept it's kitchen open past 10:00! We were very happy about that. Their gumbo and anything with shrimp is definitely a good option. Our server was funny and attentive and the host was friendly as well. Go here if you want good seafood and you aren't starving.

“Fantastic Choice on Fat Tuesday!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2014

After watching all the Mardi Gras parades on St Charles, we trudged down Bourbon Street in the rain, lugging our bag of beads and looking for a place to stop and have a bite and a beer. What a nice reprieve we found when we stumbled onto Pier 424 Seafood Market. The line was fairly short mid-afternoon, our hostess took our names, and checked in with us a couple of times to verify that she hadn't forgotten us while we waited at the bar. We were lucky to get a couple of stools and had an ice cold beer served by the friendly bartender.

After only about 15 minutes, which was amazing considering the traffic, we were escorted to a table on a thatched-roofed, porch like, elevated alcove. Our server was quick to refurbish our beers and made friendly recommendations from the menu. Hubby ordered the pecan encrusted catfish and I the Taste of New Orleans. Our order was delivered hot and in quick time. The Taste of New Orleans was very good with cups of red beans and rice, crawfish etouffee, and gumbo, served with crusty French bread. But the pecan crusted catfish topped it all...sooo delicious! Would highly recommend.

Thank-you Pier 424 Seafood Market for one of the best and affordable meals we had during our stay in NOLA, not to mention a warm respite from the rain. The beer was cold, food delicious and your employees were impeccable considering the Mardi Gras madness. Our compliments to the chefs, hostesses and servers...what an asset to your establishment!

“Nice atmosphere & service...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2014

...but food only "quite good". Called for lunch, had crab cakes (under seasoned), fish gumbo (very good, but was lacking a couple of slices of fresh-made bread as an accompaniment), and a NOLA punch cocktail. $35 including tip for waitress, probably $25-30 would have been a fair price.

“soggy seafood, but service was good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2014

While walking around the French Quarter looking for a place to have dinner, we were attracted to the Pier 424 Seafood Market because it looked like a nice place. True enough, the inside was cozy and relaxing, with furniture made of dark wood and nice tablecloths and cutlery. We ordered the boiled shrimp and snow crab legs, but to our disappointment, the seafood was soggy (especially the shrimp) and overcooked, not firm at all. It was not worth the steep price of the meal considering the quality of the food. The service was very good, though, so the experience was not all bad.
