“A fun tour; excellent tastings”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

It is a $0-12 cab ride from the French Quarter but you can generally share a cab on the return trip. The tour is low-key and the factory is very dusty but I don't imagine the rum comes in contact with any of it. You get to taste 4 types of rum and their new concoction; Gingeroo. I hated the latter but I'm not a ginger beer fan.

“Drink the Rum-rum Dum-dum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

We had a great time taking the Old New Orleans Rum Distillery tour. We were picked up by the their shuttle and taking directly to the distillery. Our guide & driver was GREAT! He provided us with numerous stories about the neighborhood as we drove their and was an excellent tour guide. After he walked us through the Rum making process he provided us with sample shots of each of their wonderful rums and even a shot of their very unique Gingeroo! Yummy! It was a great time and my wife and I highly recommend it! The Organic Banana has discount coupons for the tour...$2 off each person I think...it's all a blur now. :)

“Rom Fun!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

What a blast to leave the French Quarter and venture into an unknown area of town to find this gem of an experience! Great tour! Great tasting! Wish I could get this rum at home. Oh well, I suppose I will just have to visit the Big Easy again!

“All kinds of rum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

This was a lot of fun. They picked us up at the French Market and took us out to the distillery. Our guide was really knowledgeable about New Orleans as well as the distillery. They walked a group of about 15 of us through the process and told us about their history. Then, we got to try about 6 different rums that they make. Really interesting.

Interesting for sure. A small operation with big output. Informative and fun, about an hour or so long. You get to sample each type of rum and the new Gingeroo! Bring your camera, snap a photo of anthing without issue. Guide was super nice and new his stuff! Check it out.
