“Small but great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

The NOPM is a small shop but brimming with great information and excellent, actual items for medicine. Take a break out back the step out onto Rue Royal for another fantastic place just steps away.

“Fascinating little place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

Really interesting little museum, great insight into the deseases and treatments available, including all kinds of cure-all remedies that you could imagine being peddled at the county fair. A serene courtyard with fountain and lemon trees waits out back. A great way to spend a little time in the French Quarter.

“Pretty Different, Very Interesting!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

This is a little place, you could almost miss it if you weren't paying attention. They have limited hours but if you happen by and they are open, definitely go in and check it out. There are a lot of really neat artifacts and interesting stories/info to go with them. I think they give guided tours which would probably provide way more info. However, it's still pretty informative just to walk around on your own.

“A great break from the French Quarter”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

After being hassled by people wanting you to buy drinks at their bars, its nice to step back in time with this museum. Laid back place with lots of interesting information. Worth the small price ($5 per person).

“Chemistry!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2012

Bottles and potions and salves...oh my! While I was sitting in the court yard, a baby sparrow landed on my hand and stayed for a while. Walgreen's and CVS pale in comparison.
