“Great place for visiting and relaxing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

Audubon park is a great place to meet with a good bit of free parking. A spacious place for doing about everything from outdoor games, picnics, and just chatting. There is a 2 mile paved track divided for bikers and pedestrians. The track goes around the lake with lots of avian wildlife along with turtles and fish. This is truly a great city park. The grounds are always well populated enough for security but at the same time, except for special events is not so crowded as to be annoying. You can always find a bench or piece of grass to relax in piece and quiet. Great for people watching as well. Besides the joggers, bikers, and so forth, there are the folks who set up their easels to paint, the one gentleman who plays his violin along the track, and so forth. Finally, the place is kept quite clean with a staff that patrols the grounds from dawn to dusk.

“Filled with Trees, flowers and ducks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012

This must be one of the largest, most beautiful city parks in the country. Giants oaks tower over the green lawns, ducks of every type paddle by locals who sit on benches and lawns just to take it all in. It's really something special.

“A Lovely Walk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

We walked from the top of the park at the St. Charles Street Car to the bottom, at Magazine Street to have lunch at the Audubon Clubhouse Cafe. The view was beautiful and threes were lovely.

“Beautiful and just across the street from the zoo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

Did I say Zoo....yes, one of the best zoos in the South and maybe the country. Audubon Park (same name as Audubon Zoo) is directly across the street and is a beautiful setting. Take a leisurely walk through the park to historic St. Charles Ave. where you can also visit Tulane University and next door is Loyola University. This is also a great place for children to burn off some of their pent up energy.

“Great place to relax”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

Simply put, if you want a place to relax go here! Went with my buddies, and we brought some beers with us, threw the football around until the sun went down. Great view of the Mississippi River too.
