“Poor soundproofing and overpriced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

Chose this hotel after much research on Trip Advisor and was very disappointed. Paid over $500 including taxes on a Saturday night. Room was modest, bathroom had one towel bar and only a tiny amount of counter space around the sink. Heard the neighbors through the walls on both sides of our room! Heard noise through the room door in the hall - people talking and ice machine even though two doors away.
No WIFI.

Had a courtyard room so there was no noise from the street. Breakfast was quite good. Front desk staff very helpful.

We would not stay here again due to the noise thru walls and high price.

Room Tip: Courtyard rooms are the best to avoid substantial street noise. But you'll hear your neighbors t...

Ditto all the favorable comments regarding this hotel. Great staff. Great location. Great (free) breakfasts. Definitely will recommend to friends. We purposely requested a balcony overlooking the street just to watch the people walk by. The noise was minimal and didn't bother our sleep.

This hotel was perfect....not often I can say that but the staff were the friendliest I have ever came across and the hotel was lovely modern and spotlessly clean.
It is reasonably priced and within walking distance to Bouron street and the river.
The breakfast was excellent and free ....seems to good to be true.

Room Tip: We faced onto the pool...this was quiet

Don't look any further. You will be a couple minutes walk from all the action of Bourbon St and a short walking distance to trolleys and in the heart of the French quarter. While in the midst of all the action the hotel is a quiet oasis. Hotel staff are very friendly, helpful and committed to making sure your stay is perfect. Clean high quality room although small room which is likely typical of this city. Breakfast is varied and plentiful and a high quality. You will find this hotel a good choice. We would certainly return.

Super friendly and helpful staff; from the people at the desk, the bartenders, service personnel, and right to the kid working the door every day. Ultra clean and a half block off of Bourbon Street, just far enough not to be kept awake all night.

Room Tip: Go for the courtyard view

The location of this hotel and ambiance is great. There is a lot of construction on the street in front of the hotel so you have to be careful when you walk out the door. We stayed for 5 days and the staff was really helpful and friendly. The bed is comfortable and it is not noisy. Unfortunately when I checked out very early in the AM (6:00) the "night attendant" could not be bothered to help me with two large bags and a backpack. He was clearly more interested in sitting behind the reception counter and watching something on the computer. Even when I struggled with a heavy door and got one piece stuck and tipped over, not one peep from this guy. We were there for 5 days and handed out a lot of tips to some very hardworking bellhops and could not figure out this farewell . Very disappointing and I am going to let the hotel know.

Located half a block from Bourbon Street, it's surprising how quiet it is (mine was facing the patio). Modern decorated and well equipped spacious rooms. The downsides: very narrow shower and tiny bathroom.

Staff is kind and helpful. Breakfast is simple as most american hotel nowadays; nothing to write home about. Gym has modern and new equipment.

All things considered, it lives to the expectation of its position in TripAdvisor's rank.
