“Great Location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We recently traveled to New Orleans for a long weekend. I was a little leery of staying in a hotel right off of Bourbon St. due to the noise and crowds. I was worried for nothing. Upon entering the hotel, you would never know you were 1/2 block off of Bourbon. Our room was clean and quiet. We did upgrade to a courtyard facing room. I am not sure if that made a difference with the noise level. The complimentary breakfast offered every morning was just right and the hotel's bar was a relaxing spot to grab a beverage and watch a game. I highly recommend to stay at Hotel Le Marais.

The hotel is so cute and is in the middle of everything in French quarter. Stayed there for 5 nights and our stay was amazing! Beautiful room.. Maid service was fabulous! Breakfast delicious! Better then any hotel I've been to that include free breakfast. Gym was perfect to sweat away all the great food I ate in New Orleans. At night we'd sit by the pool and soak our feet in it...the pool is heated. Most hotels tell you they have heated pools and when you get in its freezing!!! Not this one: ) the temperature outside was chilly about high 50's and I regretted not taking my swimsuit :( there's always next time :). The staff went above and beyond for us and even got me a cake for my birthday which was waiting for me when we arrived that afternoon. Loved the stay and can't wait to return. PS...don't rent a car streets are too narrow and traffic is horrible! Take a taxi and walk around the quarter. Honestly a car is not even needed: )

My wife and I stayed here for three nights. All the staff (desk, bar, housekeeping, other support) were helpful, friendly, cooperative, and gracious. Our room was quiet and peaceful, but rather tiny to navigate and we are not large people. The bathroom was the primary room challenge as the shower, which has only two curtains and no door, was constructed poorly so water runoff spills onto the smooth tiled bathroom floor making for a treacherous situation. We had to cover the floor with a carpet of towels each time we bathed. Even then safety was an issue. Parking is another stressor at the hotel. Given its location one must park at the curb, rush into the hotel, and have someone whisk the car away or deliver it to you if you are leaving, all this as traffic is backed up with the accompanying honking. Unfortunately, the first time we took our car out it was shortly after arriving and we were feeling tired from our journey and needing to meet family, we were provided with a black SUV which looked much like the one we rented but after a block of driving we realized we had someone else's car! It took some time to circle around the French Quarter blocks to return to the hotel and then get our car. This was very tension producing. To its credit, the hotel comped our parking fees and the staff was wonderfully attentive to us for the remainder of our stay.

Room Tip: If you decide to stay here, ask for an upper floor and a room in the back if you value a lack of noi...

I stayed here in Nov 2014 and loved this stylish, boutique hotel. It is well located, just off Bourbon St - the rooms were clean and quiet. The breakfast was adequate and it was an easy walk to any number or bars and restaurants. I would stay here again!

Gorgeous property very well-located in the quarter, with quick access to both Royal Street (our favorite) or Bourbon (if that's your thing). Beautiful courtyard for relaxing, and a nice little bar. Continental breakfast is a great touch.

Room Tip: Be sure not to request a Balcony facing the street if you're not prepared for all-night noise.

For my first trip to New Orleans I wanted to be in the center of things but not around the craziness of Bourbon St. I was a bit concerned about booking here since despite the great reviews it sits literally 1/2 block from Bourbon. However the reviews are correct -- the hotel is tucked away and quiet and if you just take a left out of the entrance instead of a right, you can avoid Bourbon the entire time! The hotel is modern and clean and while not overly fancy/sophisticated, it's certainly well appointed. Our room was very spacious and clean. The staff were absolutely lovely and helpful! The courtyard with couches and a small pool was totally charming and great for a drink after a long day of walking around New Orleans. While I wouldn't stay here during major festivals since I could see the partying/crowds spilling into the streets near the hotel, I would stay again in a heartbeat during a regular weekend/week.

Room Tip: If you're the least bit concerned about noise, request a room NOT facing Conti Street but facing...

Located in the middle of French Quarter yet private and removed from the noise of Bourbon Street. All staff members, front desk, bar, housekeeping and support staff were consistently gracious, helpful, attentive, pleasant yet not intrusive. Hotel is well maintained, attractive with a fun, clean modern vibe. The rooms were just the right size with all our "away from home" needs thoughtfully met and the beds were delightfully comfortable. Love the charming inner patio and small relaxing pool. Valet parking available. Great place to stay...how soon may we return?
Thank you Hotel Le Marais.
