“Near Bourbon St yet quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

We had a quiet double room on 3rd Floor facing pool with plenty of light. Three people stayed in room and we had plenty room to move around. Everything was clean and staff polite. The only downside to the facility was probably the breakfast which was a bit bland even for continental style, but still did the job.

We stayed at this property last fall and let's just say we had many disappointments. I contacted the manager after our stay and she could not have been more apologetic and gracious. She convinced us to give them another shot and man - was it worth it. The convenience and quiet of this hotel just can't be stressed enough. While I do wish the bathrooms were just a smidge bigger, everything is so nice that can be overlooked. Great bed and the A/C works a little too well! We will definitely stay here each time we visit New Orleans.

We had a great experience at Hotel Le Marais! Loved the location - close to Bourbon St., but we didn't hear any of the noise. Our room was comfortable and we appreciated the cold air conditioning! I requested a room overlooking the courtyard and were happy to received one when checking in. Enjoyed the daily complimentary breakfast and the daily delivery of bottled water. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, ready to provide directions, dining recommendations, and arranged a car service for us to take to the airport. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting The Big Easy, and would stay there again!

Room Tip: Request a room overlooking the courtyard!

Nice hotel in great location. Hotel staff was first class. Bathroom on the small side. Good size main room with comfortable bed. Breakfast not special but decent. Great salt water pool was on the small side. Gets only a few hours of sun. Hotel is 100% smoke free, except by the pool which was filled with smokers. Very disappointing.

My husband and i stayed at Hotel Le Marais on our trip around the Us i May, and i ahev to say, it was one fo the best hotels we stayed at in the whole country! Its fresh and clean, the rooms are a nice size, the staff are fantastic and super helful, its only around the corner Bourbon street (but far enough away its not right on Bourbon street- which is good!), a short walk from Canal Street, and the tours we did picked us up from right out the front.

Absolutely loved it and would stay again in a heartbeat. Anyone who gives this hotel less than 5 stars is crazy.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights due to its good reviews on Trip Advisor.

It's a great hotel, the location is fantastic, it's close to everything but not so close you can hear any noise or anything like that.

The front desk staff are extremely helpful and friendly, greeting me by name every time I came in or out.

Breakfast is pretty basic, but I'm not a big breakfast guy so it was fine for me.

Rooms are nice, the beds are huge and amazingly comfortable. The one major problem with the room (or at least my room) was the noise. I was room 502, which is on the top floor right opposite the elevator. Which meant from around 7:30am I was woken up by the flow of people chatting and waiting for the elevator. I don't know what the doors are made from but they don't seem to block the noise very well, I could hear the conversations clearly and it was very annoying. My advice, as for a room at the end of the corridor, away from the elevator.

Would still recommend, as other than that everything was great.

Very nice hotel, in a good position which I would recommend to anyone. Service was great. I trawled around all the websites and got the best deal on Hotel.com? Ask for a room around the courtyard to avoid getting one near the street which maybe noisier.
