“Perfect as expected!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

While taking a last minute road trip to NOLA earlier this week, we decided to use our trusty TripAdvisor ratings/reviews on the IPhone as we were driving over the bridge to enter the city after 9pm. Spur-of-the-moment is the way we roll. Anyway, Hotel le Marais came up listed as rated #1, so we pulled up to the valet in front, I walked in, got a room from the extremely friendly & helpful desk clerk "Daniella." Had our bags taken up by an awesome valet "Ryan" and had the car tucked neatly away in the on-site garage. What was great; we were walking distance to pretty much everything. Bourbon Street was a few yards away (never heard a sound while in the hotel), pedal-cabs, horse drawn carriages, street cars, art galleries, fine dining, live music, etc was only a block or two away. Ask the local for the best places to eat and shop. We stayed away from the tourist traps. The hotel was exactly as described by the other reviewers. Modern, spotless, beautiful, and very comfortable. Everything was immaculate, and each member of the staff we encountered was friendly, professional, and full of smiles. We will definitely be back.

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of January. What a gem! The hotel is not only very pretty and modern, it is also immaculately maintained. The staff are so friendly and cannot do enough for you. This hotel is located between Bourbon Street and Royal. It was so quiet you would never have known what was going on just one block away on Bourbon! We enjoyed our breakfast several mornings outside in the lovely courtyard. I highly recommend this hotel, and I will most certainly return.

This hotel is very quaint and beautiful. The staff is very friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. Gave some great recommendations as to where to eat and places to visit, and things to do. The room was spacious and very clean. Even though it is located near Bourbon street, we had no problem with the noise level. Good price for the room and location. We looked at other hotels near Bourbon Street, but they were too pricey. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Better room price if you go in January or February.

We stayed 2 nights here, Jan 28 & 29th. An excellent hotel nestled just off bourbon street. The welcome was just so friendly & our first impressions of the rooms - wow. Really beautiful decor, comfortable bed & very roomy. The bathroom also nice & roomy. Room quiet & immaculately cleaned. Valet always quick. You receive a free drink voucher that we actually used & the bar was an awesome environment. Negatives - parking was relatively expensive ($34 per night), no in-house or room-service dining and there was no fridge in the room. Also, the theme in the lobby is not of the old-style like other hotels so if this is what you're after try somewhere else. We'd stay there again.

Hotel is very clean, stylish and has a great location. Bed was super comfortable. Courtyard was a soothing oasis. Check in and check out was a breeze. Desk staff couldn't be nicer. The only reason I'm giving a 4 rating instead of 5 was the elevator. We were on the top floor (5th) and often took the stairs down bc the elevator just wasn't making up to our floor. It moved extremely slow. It was just a constant inconvenience but overall the hotel was great!

The hotel was exactly as presented. It is a modern, attractive, well maintained, quiet refuge just steps from the chaos of Bourbon Street. This great location provides easy access to everything the French Quarter has to offer. We stayed from January 21 to January 24, 2013, and had a great stay. Staff members were friendly and very helpful. Would highly recommend.

Nothing make us more delighted than to hear that we have provided you with the highest quality of service. We strive to provide a personal experience to each and everyone of our guests. You are completely right as our hotel is just steps away from all the excitement of the French Quarter and Bourbon Street which allows you to return to a quiet and welcoming atmosphere of the Hotel le marais.

Went for a girls weekend and ended up at this hotel based on the great price we got using AAA and the reviews on this site. Our room was always stocked with towels and water. The front desk always said good morning, afternoon, night. Breakfast was decent, drinks were great. It helped that you are given free drink coupons for top shelf. Having a bar and gathering place was great for our group. The courtyard is really nice. The staff is super friendly. We have stayed at many hotels in NOLA and this one had the best beds and bathroom shower of any place we stayed before. My only comments to the negative are the cab they called to pick me up was dirty and one of our rooms (our group had 2) never got restocked (my room cleaning person was on top of it for ours). The rooms are not big but the beds are super comfortable. The closet is also tiny. The location is also at the seedier end of Bourbon. Having said that, I will for sure be back. A+++ on staff, A+++ on sleep comfort and style.
