“Great boutique hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

Stayed here for three nights on a business trip. Our conference hotel was sold out and they booked the overflow here. Frankly, I got the better end of the deal. This is a very pretty, modern boutique hotel in the heart of the French Quarter with perfect proximity to everything. It is a half block off of Bourbon street but you would never know it. Quiet and peaceful at night. The rooms are a good size, the bathroom could use a touch more counter space but otherwise no complaints. The bed was very comfortable. It took me a day to figure out that the coffee maker and hair dryer were in the dresser and not the bathroom but those aren't big deals for me anyway. I can't wait to go back and stay here on personal time.

Stayed here for 4 nights in July - hotel is right next to Bourbon St and Royal St so you can easily walk anywhere in the French Quarter. The decor of the hotel is great - looks very modern, clean and funky and love the purple theme! We had a standard room and it was very big, comfy bed and nice bathroom (good hairdryer!). The gym is small but has a couple of treadmills and some weights so you can get a decent workout (you need it after all the amazing food in New Orleans). Breakfast is supposedly simple by American standards but for us it was more than enough - bagels, eggs, toast, cereal, muffins, juice etc etc. They even have iced tea out by the pool during the day. Free cocktail in the bar is also a nice touch. Staff all very polite and efficient - would highly recommend this hotel, wouldn't stay anywhere else in NOLA!

I stayed at the magnificent Hotel Le Marais for three nights during my recent visit to New Orleans. I was extremely impressed with the accommodations, amazing staff and the ideal location. I was accommodated in a superior king room at Hotel Le Marais. My room was situated on the third floor of the hotel and faced Conti Street. My room was quite and serene, even though Bourbon Street is just around the corner from the hotel.

The down-to-earth staff made my stay at Hotel Le Marais particularly memorable. The hotel staff went above and beyond their call of duty to make my visit to New Orleans enjoyable. The staff was knowledgeable about area attractions, made great restaurant recommendations and assisted me with scheduling fascinating activities. Hotel Le Marais is an excellent value and I will definitely stay here again if I return to New Orleans in the future.

We recently ended a two week trip through the South and stayed at the Le Marais. It was wonderful boutique hotel on a great street in the quarter. It is walking distance to wonderful restaurants and entertainment. The rooms are small, but the amenities are upper class. I highly recommend this hotel. We travelled with our 10 and 14 year old and they loved the salt water pool

Hotel le marais is centraly located in the french quarter. I was afraid that i would be noisy but my room overlooking the patio was very quiet. The patio is a very nice place where you can enjoy your coffee and bagel in the morning. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the staff was very nice , especially Daniela at the front desk. I recommend this adress that is discreet and allow you to go many place downtown by walk.

I have stayed twice at Le Marais. Both times we paid extra for a room with a balcony. I went on a girl's weekend trip last year and shared a room with two doubles with a friend. We had a small balcony and enjoyed coming back to the room and sitting out on the balcony people watching. Believe me, there was a lot to see every night, considering Bourbon street is right around the corner. I went with my husband on my second visit. I was expecting the same type of balcony that I had last year, however I was unpleasantly surprised to find it is a shared balcony, It is EXTREMELY startling to step outside in the early morning or late night and have a complete stranger standing there in the dark. I would never have paid the extra for this room had I known this. Aside from the balcony situation, the hotel is nice, it is in a good location and the bed was comfortable.

This is an absolutely brilliant hotel. We are a family of four (2 adults and 2 children - aged 4 & 12) and would thoroughly recommend this hotel. It is ideal for family but we can also see the attraction to couples.

The room was great - spacious, very clean, well equipped and very modern. Pretty courtyard garden with small pool - all very attractive. The hotel is well located - close enough to the action but still felt like a quiet oasis.

All round great experience.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the courtyard (which is probably most rooms) are probably the nicest.
