“Hampton Inn & Suites Convention Center”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

My husband and I spent five days from April 9 to April 14 at the Hampton Inn & Suites , what a lovely place , very clean and the staff were just so helpful.
The room were always clean and very helpful if we needed anything .
I would go back for sure .
It is not in the French Quarter , walking is about 15 to 20 minutes depending on what part you want to expore , also a 10 minute walk to the trolley station and it took minutes to get to where you wanted to go ..
Great resturants in the area, the staff was very helpful and suggestion good resturants and making reservation for you to .
We were with a tour group and were all going on the Conquest Carnival on April 14, it was just minutes away from this location.
The breakfast were delicious and lots of food , always coffee and tea for 24 hours.
The lobby was just so beauiful and again very friendly staff , we got to know their names and there were always smiles for us .

There is a safe you can use at the front desk and you are given a key what ever you do not lose the key as they were a price for that if you did and it was free to use , which was very helpful for us as we had lots of documents that we did not want to lose on our trip .
We were very satisfed and go again !

Room Tip: We had room 827 over look the park, it was very quiet area !

Very friendly and helpful staff. This location could not be better for both the convention center and easy access to the French Quarter. The suites are wonderful. I would plan a trip back to New Orleans just to stay at this hotel. Overall, this is a terrific property to stay at and I would highly recommend it.

It is not at the French Quarter, but it is close enough. If you don't mind walking, it is indeed walking distance (about 15min). And it is located in a great area (Wharehouse and arts district).
Rooms are bigh enough, breakfast is delicious and the lobby is beautiful.
My husband complained a bit about the front desk, but I found it ok.
Parking is abusive, but it is possible to leave the car right in front of the hotel at night, since the meters are just until 6p.m.
If I ever go back to NOLA, I wouldn't hesitate in staying here again.

The hotel's phone number on its e-mail confirmation was never answered. I had to phone other numbers until I found someone who would pick up. The hotel is attractive and it has the standard amenities. There is no on-site restaurant. The bath towels were thin and scratchy. The internet is free, and is a decent connection. Overall, I was satisfied, and feel it was worth the money.

We stayed here for 3 nights prior to our Caribbean cruise, the hotel was in a great location, close to the cruise terminal and walking distance to the French Quarter but far enough away so as not to be noisy in the evenings. We booked a 4 person room which was in the old warehouse part of the hotel and this was roomy and better than we expected. Breakfast was included in the price which was very reasonable, a few streets closer to the French Quarter the hotel prices jumped to almost double. We would definitely book this hotel again the next time we are in New Orleans.

Excellent location for convetion center. The building has a lot of old New Orleans charm. The lower floor rooms have great architectural features. But can be loud with hall traffic. Typical Hampton inn breakfast fate.
