“Short Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013 via mobile

Some friends and I stayed here one night while we toured the French Quarter.

The air didnt get cold enough for me, and the double beds are really small...queens would have been nice. The shower was great but the toilet didnt flush well.

The valet parking was pricey at a whopping $35, but it's worth it I suppose being as there isn't anywhere to park anyway. And they keep cars in a gated parking lot. We were able to leave our car parked until 4pm the day of check out which allowed us more time to roam around.

Chateau LeMonyne has a fantastic location in the French Quarter. This was my first visit to New Orleans and will definitely stay here when I return next year. It is in walking distance to Bourbon and Canal Streets. The streetcar stops are nearby, too. The rooms were comfortable and updated and the staff was great. Michael at the concierge desk gave my mom and great suggestions of places to go and dine. He was very kind and knowledgeable. They also have a super bartender by the name of Eddie. Can't wait to go back to the Chateau.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view; the pool area is very pretty at night.

Thank you so much for reviewing your stay with us. How honored we are that you chose our hotel for your first visit to NOLA! Being within walking distance is a wonderful selling point for our hotel, but what is even better is that we are just far enough away to be an oasis from the nature of the French Quarter. We look forward to your next visit.

Great little hotel. Stayed in suite near the pool. Comfortable. Would have liked to have the restaurant open for more than breakfast. Used the bar twice for a night cap. Not very friendly bar service and only open from 3 to 10.
Front desk and concierge helpful and friendly.

This hotel is in a great location - 1 block from Bourbon St & a few from Canal but very very quiet! When we checked in we were told they had overbooked (oh oh) and then told we would be put in the "old section". I was apprehensive but very pleased with our room. It was very clean and quaint with exposed brick walls and a living/desk area separate from the bedroom - on the 3rd floor overlooking their charming pool/courtyard area. I know several people don't like the pillows (they are small) but I found both the bed & the pillows to be very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and accomodating - we had a few requests during our stay and they were met quickly and efficently - I also appreciated the coffee machine and small refridgerator in the room & the free coffee in the restaurant area. Would definately stay there again!

Room Tip: We enjoyed our room facing the courtyard.

This was my first trip to New Orleans, we stayed at this hotel, and I was very happy with it. It's not the fanciest, but it's clean, and the staff were great. One recommendation to the hotel, you need better pillows, the pillows were awful!

This was a great first stop on a MS & New Orleans vacation. We flew into New Orleans and took a taxi to the hotel. Given it's location in the French Quarter we didn't need a car (and parking fee). When we got ready to leave it was an easy walk to the Avis/Budget rental car location on Canal St., which was a significant savings over picking up a car at the airport.

The Chateau Lemoyne is a very nice, reasonable French Quarter hotel with nice size rooms. We were early for checkin so they held our luggage and wandered the Quarter. The guys in the lobby recommended Johnny's PoorBoy for lunch, which must have been a good choice except for the line out in the street, so we had to find another spot. They also missed on when the show times were at Preservation Hall - no big problem. The hotel generally has very good service. they have a nice restaurant, bar, and pool; all of which we didn't use.
All told we wer quite satisfied and will use the hotel on our next visit to N.O.

Room Tip: Don't worry about it. If you stay here you are not going to spend too much time in the room.

There were a number of us staying together, so we had to look for a lower price hotel in order to accommodate everyone's budget. It was certainly cheaper than alot of other hotels in the area, but, wow! It was filthy. The smell of urine in the halls was overwhelming. It was shortly after Mardi Gras, so maybe they had just not had time to recover. But if you can afford it, pay a little more & stay somewhere else.
