“A great combination of service, food and location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

The Ritz has great period rooms. Our corner room was quiet, which is hard to find in New Orleans. It was well appointed and in good condition. The staff was marvelous. On our first night we went to the restaurant which was also very good. The gumbo was amazing and the music coming in from the Davenport lounge was first class. The facility is wonderful and retains the French quarter charm. As always the beds in the Rits are great too!

Room Tip: Ask for the corner high rooms if you want quiet

Good location. Staff was excellent. Room clean. I had a small maintenance issue that was taken care of immediately. Super quiet room even though hotel was probably sold out for jazz fest. Only had food at conference but it was excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

I love Ritz Carlton, especially the club floor, and this one is my favorite. This hotel puts all the others I have stayed in to shame. The club floor is a separate section of the hotel, is very large with several rooms, lots of seating and delicious food all day. They also leave water, sodas, coffee and snacks out 24 hours. It has a wine bar with a nice assortment of wines. The service is great. The rooms in this area have hard wood floors, are larger than the other rooms I have seen and are just lovely. I know the club floor is much more expensive compared to the other rooms, but it is worth every penny. Don't hesitate.

Room Tip: stay on the club floor

Finally stayed here but I understand now why this hotel stays fully booked--it is the best in the Crescent City. Definitely has excellent service at every turn, and the rooms and property are luxurious, clean and comfortable. The club level rooms are the way to go too, even though the price eillserm high at first glance. It's worth it! There are cheaper "luxury" hotel rooms in town but you pay for what you get...and here you get just get something far nicer. Only disappointment was room service breakfast, which was entirely unnecessary anyway since a wonderful breakfast buffet was served in the club lounge. Perfect location and definitely make your reservation as soon as you think you might plan to go to New Orleans because this is where you want to stay.

Rooms were outstanding. Short walk to Bourbon street and areas with amazing antique shops. Housekeeping regarding the in room coffee service was not what you would expect from a hotel like this one. Club level service was excellent.

The hotel is near the action. Having the lobby on the 3rd floor keeps some distance from the street traffic. Note there are homeless folks and a fair number of ramblers in the area of Canal St
The room is nice and hotel well kept.
The workout area could use some improvements- but it may be as much based on a very odd configuration as anything.
The lunch at the conference was very good - but that was the only food I ate.

We have stayed in this hotel many times over the years. It is the best! Quiet, yet centrally located right on Canal Street and by the Quarter. Service is up to normal Ritz carlton standards, which means all but perfect.

Having Jeremy Davenport playing and singing in the Lounge is an extra treat.
