“Nice place, strong service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013 via mobile

Everyone was very pleasant and professional. Shout out to Mark in the main bar who was terrific in many ways and a consummate professional. Room was large and very clean. Very quiet even facing Canal Street. Only critique was the housekeeper did not come by until late in the day, right when we had returned from a day of sightseeing and relaxing before dinner. Not her fault, but a bit awkward. Would stay here again.

Our stay at the ritz carlton New Orleans was fabulous. The staff was amazing. Everyone who helped us on the club level deserves special mention, however Szilvia Clapp went above and beyond. What a pleasure. Thanks szilvia. Alan and Sheree.

We stayed at the Ritz for the first time on our recent trip to New Orleans. Couldn't have stayed at a better place. It was beautiful, the people were super nice, and the location was great. I left my Boise headphones in my room when we checked out, and I didn't realize it until I got to the train station to go home. I called the hotel and by Thursday following my Monday check out, I had my head phones at my house. Thanks for a great weekend and excellent service!

Stayed for a few nights for a wedding this autumn. The place was comfortable and staff were polite and helpful, it's just, well, despite being round the corner from Bourbon Street, you could have been anywhere.
The whole place seemed a bit tired and frankly, after a day wandering through the cemeteries or drinking in the french quarter, going back to my room felt like I was leaving the city, not bedding down in its heart.
If you are in town to experience New Orleans, find somewhere smaller with more character.

When we travel we try to stay at a Ritz Carlton if available . This hotel is located in a very good location that can walk anywhere. The service is the best and the rooms are very comfortable and very clean. The staff from the bottom up are the best on this business. We use the club level and it makes quite a difference when you do not use their club level. The staff makes your stay a very comfortable one.

This hotel is first class all the way. Upon check in we were upgraded by Chad the front desk supervisor due to my Marriott gold status. Thank you. The club level is definitely amazing. There are 5 times during the day that great food and drink choices are put out in a wonderful setting that is beautiful and relaxing, so if you can take this option when booking a room. Everyone working at the hotel is friendly and most helpful. In the loung Jerry davenport band plays great jazz so try to catch a drink and enjoy his set. You will love this hotel

My husband and I stayed here on our trip to New Orleans. It's located in the french quarter and only a couple of blocks from bourbon street. The french quarter isn't that big and very easy to walk and find your way to places. Everyone at the hotel was wonderful and extremely friendly. We never passed by any of the staff without getting a friendly smile and a warm greeting. Even the door man always welcomed us back and told us to enjoy our day. My only comp, ain't was that our fridge was never restocked during our 5 day stay. The room service was fabulous and the beignets were far superior to cafe du monde. We had room service 5 times and loved it each time. We enjoy breakfast in the room before starting our day of sight seeing. You also need your room key to access the elevator which is a great safety feature. Only odd thing was that you enter on ground level then take elevator to third floor for check in, but it's easy enough to do. Great hotel overall.
