We paid $119/night for a small room, which is not bad for NOLA. However, the room was not clean, the bed was not too comfy, it was loud nightly until 4 a.m. I wish we would have paid a little more to stay somewhere else.

I wanted to be on the St Charles Streetcar line between the quarter & garden district.... unfortunately the street car is under construction. We were not told that before booking. The hotels website fails to mention this as well.

Or, if the hotel would clean the carpets, paint, clean mildew off showers/curtains, and otherwise clean the place up a little, it could be a nice place. It is not currently worth what we paid.

The Garden Avenue Hotel feels like you are visiting a relative without the awkward dinner conversation. It is older and has some wear but my daughter and I felt very safe and comfortable staying there during our weekend trip to New Orleans. The staff is friendly and very helpful with suggestions for self guided tours etc. We will stay again.

Not exactly a Bed and Breakfast, but not quite a Boutique Hotel..... Somewhere in between. I will say this..... For the price, the location, and helpfullness of the staff......... YOU CAN'T FIND A BETTER DEAL!!!! The staff are SO NICE and sweet. They gave us restaurant recommendations, ideas for what to do, and even offered to setup any tours we would like to have taken!!! I just can't say enough about the staff. This is not a large hotel, but a nice, quaint place to stay while staying in New Orleans. My wife and I loved it,.... we will be back. That's a promise.

I stayed here in early April with my parents. From arrival to departure the owner was very helpful. From recommending places to eat to sites to see. The rooms were very clean and we loved the enclosed patio garden. I intend to return to New Orleans and will book to stay here again. I have already recommended this hotel to my friends. Thanks to everyone at Avenue garden.
