Good value, comfortable and clean, friendly staff. Not a place for you if you want an upscale neighborhood and lodging, but it's fine if you just want a clean, basic place to stay. Free parking, free breakfast, free wi fi. They also have a small fitness room and a pool. Reception desk employee was very friendly at check-in. Our maid, Ms. Cathy, left us a cute note thanking us for being "clean people".

Food: Breakfast wasn't anything fancy (frosted flakes, raisin bran, toast with jam or butter, waffles and syrup or butter, juice, coffee, pastries, and some yogurt), but was ok for getting something in your stomach.

Room: Bed was firm but not hard. Pillows were ok. Room was clean. Microwave oven, fridge, TV, coffee maker included in our room (king bed deluxe). Bathroom was basic but clean and in good condition. It was pretty quiet and we were able to get a good rest. Our room was one room away from the elevator, so that also helped it be quiet. I saw someone else's review saying that their room had no windows. Our room had a window looking out the front of the motel. Maybe that's because we had a king "deluxe" room?

Plenty of free parking (they give you a paper permit). You'll have to drive to the French Quarters or just about any other tourist attraction, but you'll still save money overall since this place is much cheaper than the places over in the French Quarter (and much quieter too probably). It is sort of a pain driving into the French Quarter because of the traffic, at least it was over this past Thanksgiving weekend, but maybe it was unusually crowded because of holiday vacationers and people coming for the annual Bayou Classic football game.

Would stay here again to save some money.

Tira at the front desk was the friendliest desk clerk I have ever dealt with. Seeing her smile just made us feel good all day. She is also a great resource for directions and the goings on, in and around New Orleans. I wish I had gotten the name of the wonderful lady overseeing the continental breakfast. She was very effective and helpful.
Bottom line would I stay there again? Yes.

This hotel is in a run down area, very close to Highway 10. It was a 10 minute drive to Downtown NO.
The receptionist was very helpful and pleasant. The hotel has been designed to look like a historic building, and for the most part, that makes the place feel pleasant ant homely. Sadly, the wrought iron around the central corridors, gives that area the feel of a prison. the rooms were clean and comfortable. We didn't use the pool but it looked clean and pleasant. The breakfast room was decorated nicely, and was a pleasant place to start the day.
Would definitely visit again - good value for money

I love the place, it was very clean and quiet to be able to relax for the night. The breakfeast was great, they have coffee, two types of cereal, orange juice, waffels, pastrys, fruits, and milk. We arrived on November 18, for one night and found the staff very helpfull and pleasent. The hotel is also nearby to the French Quarter but far enough from all of the craziness. If your just passing thru the city or state and are looking for a place to stay this is place to stay.

This hotel also gives discounts to military personel, but you must call the hotel directly to get the discount. For us this turned outbe the better price then thru the online discount web sites.
