“thoroughly enjoyable stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

Exceptionally friendly staff in this small hotel-like accommodation less than a full block off Canal St in the business district of NOLA. The rooms are extremely spacious and quiet, a great refuge from the noise and partying in the Quarter. This is a fantastic alternative to staying at the big hotels. The hotel is very clean, the room we had was a 1 bedroom suite, king bed and queen pullout. The living room could have used a second couch or a couple of chairs for better sitting arrangement and to fill up all the space in the room. Also had a kitchenette with full fridge and microwave.
Can't wait to get back to NOLA and will definitely try for this place again.
Note: this is a time-share type of place, so be ready for the sales pitch!

Just loved this place. Concierge and greeting staff are terrific! And there "carport" set up with tv, popcorn, coffee and hot choc machine is entertaining. Central to bourbon st and port. The rooms are large and charmingly decorated. Would stay again!!

This hotel is close to the French quarter 1 block walk. Lots of restaurants nearby. Very nice hotel and staff. Canal Street is only one block away where you can catch the street cars to tour the city.

Room Tip: upper floors have large windows and a view over the city.

Huge room, must have at least 10' ceilings. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location, just a block from the FQ and a short walk to two streetcar lines. Safe clean location. Check out time is too early...10am.

Christmas in New Orleans at the this hotel was very relaxing. The location can't be beat. We loved that it is close to everything and we didn't even have to rent a car or take a cab! It was close enough to Bourbon Street, the casino and the major attractions but you're on a quieter street so you don't hear the loud partiers from your room. We had the room lock-off and the room was well furnished and updated. The only thing that threw us off for the first few nights was there were no windows in the bedroom so without the alarm, you could sleep all day! We'd stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for the bedroom lock-off on the top floor for more space and privacy.

We stayed one week with family using their timeshare in a one bedroom last October. The property is perfectly located one block west of canal, walking distance to Bourbon and all the French Quarter has to offer, and close to Riverwalk and Harrahs casino. The building has charm and character. You aren't coming for the pool, but the workout facilities are good, and the hotel room size and amenities more than make up for that. It's also across from the Ruby Slipper - a popular spot for breakfast and lunch...

Room Tip: You aren't going for a view, so the higher floors and inside facing rooms will be quieter.

You never know what you're going to get--especially in NOLA. This was a nice surprise!

The WLBM is located a couple of blocks off Canal--close enough to the French Quarter to partake--far enough away to let you get away from the madness.

We had room 515-- an outside with windows. The view was horrible (who comes to New Orleans for a window view?) but the room was very nice. A one bedroom with a large seating/dining area. The bed was comfortable (again, a nice surprise).

The best aspect of the property was was the staff. We came for Mardi Gras--one week after the Super Bowl--these folks had been SLAMMED!!! But from the first, every staff member had a smile and a gracious attitude.

We would come back here in a second!
