“Sully's location, the hosts, Gracie the dog, my room - all was perfect.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2010

I wanted a gorgeous old mansion, away from the noise and crowds, where I could soak up the New Orleans experience for a week. Sully Mansion B&B was perfect. What made it so, was that, on top of its perfect location in the Garden District, the hosts Nancy and Guy were wonderful, and Gracie was the perfect companion to hang out with on the porch. How much better could it get, sitting in a comfy wicker chair, sipping wine, gazing at the most beautiful Live Oak, the canopy of which had to be about 200' in diameter.
I will definitely stay here again, when I return to this fantastic city.

Nancy and Guy were wonderful hosts. We felt so at home. They had many local recommendations which were very helpful. Gracie (their dog) was also a wonderful welcoming presence. The breakfast was great. We would definately stay again.

The home is one block south of St Charles Avenue and, of course, the Mardi Gras parades on many evenings, weekend days and of course Mardi Gras day itself. The normal "find a bathroom" and "find a cold drink" problem doesn't exist - just walk back to the the room between parades!

There are many different rooms, including a couple that suited us perfectly with a double bed plus a day bed for our daughter. We had a little room to spread out, a reasonable ensuite bathroom, and on our (second) floor a lounge area to sit and read (and drink!) after our daughter had fallen asleep.

And the hosts, Nancy and Guy, are amazing - the breakfast is different every day, and there's plenty of it. We can't wait to get back to their place for another Mardi Gras.

We spent three nights at Sully Mansion in the Bourbon Suite. The room was great. Nancy, Guy and Gracie were wonderful hosts. The location worked well for us. We have always stayed in hotels on Canal. This was a departure for us to stay in the Garden District. We were not disappointed. I doubt we will ever stay any where else when we are in NOLA. We spent a day at the National WWII Museum. Anyone with an interest in WWII history should go to the Museum. Nancy suggested some restaurants in the Garden District. Again, we usually went to the standards such as Arnauds. The suggestions Nancy gave us were great little restaurants with really good food. We highly recommend Sully Mansion for an overall great visit to NOLA.

We have stayed here several times over the past three years and thoroughly enjoyed each visit. The location in the garden district is convenient, relaxing and not frantic. The mansion is an elegant, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed bed and breakfast. The beds are very comfortable, linens are soft, rooms are clean and have everything you need. The wi-fi is free, parking is on the street and safe, and the wrap around porch is large enough for multiple seating options. The breakfasts are homemade, varied, creative, fresh and delicious. Nancy and Guy are welcoming hosts who bring a personal and congenial touch to the meaning of hospitality. The cost is competitive with the local places to stay, and the value is excellent. We have often stayed in bed and breakfasts, and if you like this option, you will enjoy the Sully Mansion.

Thanks Nancy and Guy.
We enjoyed our stay immensely and walked to nearby antique shops, restaurants, street car and bookstores. We drove down from Kansas City area and found free parking on the street in front of the B&B. We used the street car and went to French Quarter often finding all the excitement we wanted. Lots of places to visit with others on the porch under a huge elm tree. We had a lovely time and the breakfast offerings were great. We will go again.
