This is my third visit to Coquette and I was sure that it could not possibly be as great as I remembered. I am so glad I was not disappointed. We were a table of six and we ordered the three course lunch special for $23. The pork stew was exceptional. Several in our party were hesitant to try this because it sounded a little too rustic and heavy. It was delicious ! The second course was shrimp and grits with a few boiled peanuts and tiny heirloom tomatoes. Though this dish can be very simplistic, the complexity of the sauce kicked it up a notch . And of course, dessert is always a surprise. Today we had kettle corn ice cream. Going back to Coquette real soon. If the upstairs is available, the seating there is a little quieter with a little more ambience.
Don't be afraid to try something you have never tried before, you won't be disappointed.
