The hotel was beautiful to say the least. The location could not have gotten any more in the heart of the action. 2 blocks either way to Burbon street or cafe du monde and a block from jackson square. The breakfast pasteries were delicious. I loved how quaint and quiet this hotel was. The rooms were super clean, we didn't meet an unfriendly worker and there were a lot of them. The rustic old timey feel to the room was true french quarter, yet not stinky or dirty! The only, I mean only, drawback was that you had to go outside on a porch to use internet (no big deal, I was not there for business) and the bed was not comfortable at all, just springy and hurt my hips. However, there is an abundance of extra linens and I used them over the area where it felt springy and slept like a baby. I absolutely would stay there again despite the 2 drawbacks. I will never visit New Orleans again and stay anywhere else. The 4 star rating is only because of internet and bed comfiness otherwise, 5 star all the way! PS they say it is haunted but had no visitors during my stay!

Having stayed in numerous boutique hotels in the French Quarter, this hotel definitely has the best location to attractions and restaurants. It is quaint, nicely furnished, and has more history than most (if that is possible!). Service was great, including efficient check in/out.

Visited during Mardi Gras,it was great being in the middle of it all. Nice small courtyard to sit and rest. Owners were very helpful. Lots of places to eat and great little shops.Stay here to be steps away from everything.Clean small room with comfy bed.Looking forward to returning.

Mardi Gras , jazz fest or just a visit. This hotel is located in the fabulously lively area of the French quarter. If you don't like noise don't go there when its festival season. If you like fun and a constant hum of very very happy people its the place to go. Room 282 has a huge balcony overlooking the street but if you want to be in the thick of it book a room with a balcony over Chartres Street.
Great location, comfy rooms but limited breakfast choice. Excellent restaurants for breakfast close by. Try Stanley's to the left or camellia's .
