The Roosevelt is a beautiful, historic hotel in downtown New Orleans, right off Canal Street across from the French Quarter. Our room was spacious, beautiful with large flat screen TV. The bed was extremely comfortable. Our room had no view. The bathroom was equally spacious and had a small flat screenTV . Service was excellent. We were there during Mardi Gras and they had security at the doors and elevators to insure that only registered guests could gain access. The hotel had 2 lounges, a small cafe, a full-service restaurant, an outdoor pool and a fitness center. If you stay during Mardi Gras, be aware that your access to the Quarter is often restricted due to parade routes. The only real downside was the cost of parking at $40 per day.
