“Historic Roosevelt Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

As someone who grew up in the South, you always heard about the Roosevelt Hotel. It's a part of your history, whether you stayed there or listened to the broadcasts of college football games from the radio station in the basement. I finally got to stay at the Roosevelt on my last trip to New Orleans and it was worth the wait. The hotel has been completely renovated and they did an excellent job. The staff are excellent and very caring and very friendly. The room was promptly turned down every day, and it was hard to have a wet towel hanging around very long. Be sure you go to the Sazerac Bar and have a drink. It's a great bar. Every need was met and more. Even one of the shops associated with the hotel remembered our visit and made sure they returned my brother's sun glasses. They watched out for our return and met us on the street. You'll love this place. The World Wrestling group also stayed at the hotel during our stay and the staff didn't blink an eye and just kept on trucking'.

Second year here for Mardi Gras will be our last. Location is excellent and service very good, but everything else is average at best...not satisfactory for Waldorf Astoria level pricing. We can walk a little farther to the Quarter from the Homewood or the Hampton and have a suite for the same price.

Great hotel and unbelievable staff. Very few hotels match the opulent beauty of The Roosevelt lobby. The pool deck is wonderful and relaxing. However, no complimentary wifi, which should be a necessity in today's "plugged in" environment; nor any in-room, self-serve coffee services--which is BRUTAL in the morning. A must stay in you are looking for an old-school luxury hotel while in NoLa or visitng the French Quarter.

Old School Luxury at it's best. Front the high ceiling chandelers upon entry to the beautiful room accomodations. Gorgeous. The Sazarac Bar, The Lounge, and the Sandwich Shop, all excellent. If you like and enjoy luxury, this is your place. Would go back again and recommend to friends.

My husband and I stayed at the Roosevelt from April 17th-21st, 2014. The hotel is in a good location, right next to the French Quarter. We were walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. The hotel is in good condition; the entrance is beautiful and our suite was clean and well-appointed. We were in a signature suite and it had plenty of space. The bed was very comfortable and the tv in the bathroom was a nice plus. The only negative was that housekeeping came quite late; I think our room was cleaned by the turn down service in the evening. Otherwise, a great place!

We were attending the Native American Finance Officers Association 32nd annual conference, and was my first trip to New Orleans in over 20 years. The conference amenities were impeccable! The staff attending to our breakfast buffets as well as the staff that served the plated lunches were absolutely wonderful, and the Roosevelt itself was an amazing piece of well-preserved history that came alive with it's beautiful architecture, plentiful art, and stately room adornments. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking to woo their clients or put on a conference that stands out in the memory of every attendee. I am certainly sold on the Roosevelt. My hat is off to the entire hotel staff!

Made a very quick trip for college visit. Hotel is beautiful but we were most impressed with the staff from the bellmen to the concierge who recommended a wonderful dinner at Revolution. Location seemed great for the short time we were there . Wish we could have stayed longer.
