“What I expected and a bit more”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

We stayed in N.O for 3 nights, valet parking is VERY expensive, but you get what you pay for, peace of mind. During our stay we celebrated our wedding anniversary, no room upgrade but a drink on the house. Don the concierge was extremely helpful, a credit to the company. The pizza restaurant attached to the hotel is very reasonable and produces nice food, shame the waitress who was being polite got 'a flea in her ear' from the supervisor for talking with us, she was just giving good customer service. The room was a bit on the small side, but that is what we had paid for and it was immaculate. The hotel is sited in a good location, close enough for us to walk everywhere and far enough from the noise of Bourbon Street. Caution, when arriving in a car; there is a parking facility almost next door to the hotel's valet parking drop off point called Distinctive Parking, the staff there repeatedly lied to me saying they were with the hotel, they are not.

“Short Trip to New Orleans”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

Reserved a room at the Roosevelt was very impressed. They have been able to retain the feel of the old hotel while updating all the ameneties. Had a small suite and it was of a nice size and the sitting room and bedroom were decorated tastfully.
The Sazurac Bar was nice but understaffed. Overall, a very nice experience.

“A Truly Classic Hotel....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

Amazing service...beautiful hotel. I usually go for the ultra modern type places, and with any hotel of this age there are compromises, but the rooms are beautifully furnished, the lobby is beautiful, and the service - just amazing. I had lost a button from my sport coat the evening before...took it to the concierge and explained that since we had reservations at a "jacket required" establishment that evening, I needed to find a seamstress who could sew it back on (I found the button after it popped off the jacket). The concierge called a couple places, but with it being Saturday he could find none open. Finally, he said "don't' worry, we will make sure it is taken care of". Three hours later, before noon (let alone in time for dinner) my jacket was brought to my room very nicely pressed and with button attached - no charge.

Did I mention the overnight shoe shines, and 24 hour room service?

Five star service, 4.5 star appointments, Four star facility. Nice, nice, nice, nice nice!!! Well worth the price if you can afford the difference between someplace like this versus a "Embassy Suites" or similar...

“Stunning”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

Thanks to reviews on trip advisor we booked The Roosevelt New Orleans, and glad we once again trusted the trip advisor community. This place is absolutely beautiful. The lobby is ornate, the concierge so helpful, the room well appointed and bed very comfortable. This hotel is located just off Bourbon street, making it convenient for exploring the music and festivities of the dynamic city.
Enjoy!

Room Tip: We always try for upper floors.
